I like Agger but he always seemed to be at fault or lose his mms when we conceded goals for the last 2 years.
I don't think we'll miss him.
I don't think we'll miss him.
The director from Brøndby was just on Danish Tele. A few informations:
1. Agger didnt want to go elsewhere.
2. It's a two year deal where the 3 mill £ price also ensures that Agger gets most of his remaining 2 years salery from Brøndby. Thats a huge ask as well for a small club like Brøndby.
3. He said that Liverpool has allowed this solution to emerge out of respect for Agger and his loyalty. Please dont forget that LFC begged him no to leave a few seasons ago. And he stayed.
4. The loyalty of this player is above and beyond and people (including some of you in this thread) who doesnt appreciate this should really get fucked sideways by an elephant. Yes, he was injury prone and gave a way some soft goals but you have to respect the loyalty of this player. Show some class ffs.
5. LFC would have had to give Brøndby a bonus from any sale to other clubs as they bought him from Brøndby. Subtract that as well.
Can you clarify this further? Do we actually get £3M from this sale or are we going to spend it all paying off Agger's contract, essentially paying him to leave?
"Liverpool have been such a big part of my life and my family's lives for so long, that leaving is extremely difficult," Agger told Liverpoolfc.com.
"The opportunity arose for me to return home to Brondby and at this stage of my career it felt like the right decision for me.
"I wouldn't leave here to go anywhere else and that has been proven by my actions in recent seasons - I have turned down many offers to move to other Premier League and European clubs.
"I would like to thank the Liverpool supporters for the incredible backing they have given me in my time here and the warmth and generosity of spirit displayed to my family.
"This has been our home and somewhere we have been very happy and settled. However, more recently I have started to feel the effects of playing regularly in a league that is as physically demanding as the Premier League is, and I would not want to stay if I did not think that I was able to meet that challenge week in, week out.
"The club itself is very special and I shall remain a supporter for the rest of my life. I regard every game I played at Anfield as a privilege"
he only averaged 27 games a season for us .
But for injuries he really could have been an absolute legend for us.
KHL?I hope he sends a letter to the fans.
Fair enough.Complete fucking nonsense.
