A quick Bobby reminder

Thought he should have come on much earlier in the Champ final and in fact still feel our best 3 last season included a fit Bobby but then his fitness just let him down.

Hes a squad player now, arguably 3rd choice for the central attacking role. But what a squad player.

This is how you build a squad, you don't go out and sign a new Origi as backup, you sign a gun like Nunez who forces the current first choice into a back up role.

Bobby still has the skills to bamboozle defenders but he needs to limit his game time. Coming on at 60 or 70 mins when the intensity of the game has dropped and he's got space between the lines to do his thing will arguably suit him better.

If we play with more of a traditional Central Attacking Mid (as fabio, elliot and jones might show); bobby could have a fucking great time in that role, and extend his lifespan with us if he wants to

He must be kept, only if purely for his belter of a chant.

I think Nunez will help prolong Bobby and without doubt Salah. Would be good to see Jota get back in dorm.

Yep, that's what Ferguson did with the likes of Giggs and Scholes.

The number of chances he lays on for Salah in that vid makes me wonder whether Salah's late-season dip in form might have been exacerbated by Bobby's absence.

Or Mane's presence in the middle – other than that otherworldly assist vs United, the link-up between the two of them has always been rather poor; less of a problem when they are stationed on opposite flanks.
