A New Striker...

I would take Lukaku. I think he is a top player and Maureen is a fucking idiot for complaining about having no strikers (yeah right) and sending him on loan.
Bony is gash.
Remy is gash.
Personally I'd like an older, experienced head who would be happy to be back up to our front two.

Is it just me or is Silver Sean really angry all the time about every little thing? The man seems to be practically volcanic. He reminds me a bit of Fearless Lister from that Red Dwarf episode.

Bony - 22 goals already in his first season in England. I don't want him, because I don't think his is a style that would fit in with how we play, but he's anything but gash.

Remy also has 19 goals in 35 starts in the PL. It's a very good record, and for 8 million, we could do much worse.

Do you think he should change his name to Shouty Sean?

Silver Sean is cool, just don't talk about Arsenal around him!

The trouble with an "experienced head" is we would struggle to find one who offers the same dynamism as we require up top as I think we need pacey skilful players to fit that lineup and there aren't many experienced ones in that mould who are <£30m

Lavezzi and Menez are worth a look - they fit the mould of experienced, versatile players, but ones with enough dynamism and skill to still be effective in the PL.

Personally, I'd be quite happy with adding Remy and Konoplyanka for 20 odd million, and spending the bulk of our money on a midfielder and a left-back.

Need someone to challenge Allen and Henderson badly. The attack with Suarez, Sturridge and Sterling is high on quality. Needs depth, which someone like Remy and Konoplyanka can add easily enough.

What we really need to address are the areas short on big quality - and that's midfield and the full-back positions. The PL may be bereft of good midfields - with our attack being fully capable of compensating, but that's not the case with Europe at all.

Ryan Babel was the next Dutch big thing. And then it was Eljero Elia. Finding it hard to get excited about these young Dutch players anymore.

I have hardly seen any PSV this year. He is probably one of the older squad members at 20. The Dutch may well have a very young squad at the World Cup as they seem to be giving the kids a chance.

That's a bit unfair.

There's a tonne of english players who have had similar trajectories .

It happens to every nation

"Let's get out there and twat it!' I had that T-shirt in about 96 and wore it to work. Was made to take it off as the owner was a Mormon. He took offence. I was also told when I worked at Pizza Express when I was a student that I had an attitude problem. Same happened when I worked at Key 106.3 radio in Manchester. Although to be fair that was based on me telling a DJ that he was a twat for suggesting Van Nistelshorse was the greatest player to ever play for Man Utd.
I am a very angry person, I haven't mellowed with age, but that's what an anoxic brain injury from Hillsborough can do apparently.

And I was being merely playful. Not angry. Bless the internet.

This thread is about back up strikers and yet we are mentioning some expensive talent. None of whom will want to play back up.
I don't want anyone near the SAS partnership so it's gonna be tricky finding a decent player willing to play second fiddle to SAS.
