A big milestone for Gerrard ... Well in

Gerrard, 29, is due to make his 500th appearance for the Anfield club in Saturday's home encounter with Blackburn.

The homegrown product made his debut against the same opposition as a last-minute substitute 11 years ago.

Can't see him breaking it, no chance.

Will still go down as our greatest ever player once he retires.

Will he?

Wouldn't Dalglish or someone get it?

I think by the time he hangs up his boots he'll pass even King Kenny.

And yes hopefully he can cement it with a couple titles before he retires.

He'll be talked about for the next 50 years and be regarded alongside some of the finest players ever to play the game.

A true phenomenon of a footballer, and one we probably take for granted.

Wow Carra just 4 off 600.

That is a great achievement in todays footballing world.

Noone will ever beat Callaghan's record will they? Nearly 200 clear at the top, that's impressive.

Interesting that the rest on that list apart from Carra all played at a similar kinda time.
