45m for Sturridge ?

if he goes on a rich run of form, suggesting he's finally back to his best, I' m not sure i'd want to let him go.

Like Benteke was when we bought him ?

If Sturridge goes on a rich run of form we can probably get a slightly better return on him

I doubt that it is bollocks. IMO the deal is more or less done and that is why we don't play him more than we do.

Sorry - just to check in with everyone; were letting this shite just wash over us now, right?

So the reason Sturridge hasn't been playing (despite being picked over the last few weeks) is because we've already sold him?

To avoid the net hate Arn - youre not a total fucking window-licker, but the content of your post is undiluted fucking bollocks.

I just assume Arn has been put here to test me.

The ultimate WUM

The big problem is that his many injuries mean that he can't press that much. Our strikers must be able to work their socks off every minute.

Jesus fucking Christ. This cunt would test the patience of Job.

I can't work out if he's a mad-as-a-box-of-frogs conspiracy theorist, or he's creating his own internet version of the Premiership Guide for 5yr olds.

Read his latest bollocks in the Skrtel thread about Agger. Apparently they both used to argue all the time on the pitch because....Ahem, I quote:

Agger didn't took any shit from him. Skrtel had to do it the Agger way. A lot of arguing on the pitch between them but he had to accept Agger as the defensive leader.

Seriously.

If we have any ambition to win or challenge for a title we should keep Sturridge around despite his injury record.
Just add to our strike force instead of decimating it.
I like Lacazette but will he be a proven goal scorer in the premiership like Sturridge is?
There's no sure thing but we know that Sturridge fits us and is happy playing for a team that isn't doing too well atm.

Bollocks, having him as a Striker to rely upon in this Team for the last 2 seasons has held us back..

If someone is offering Silly Money for player your lucky to get 15 games a Season out of.. sell Him..

It is an absolute no Brainer..

Sell and re-invest..

This will definitely go the Liverpool Way.

He will injure himself signing the PSG contract and return to Anfield for an 18 month layoff.

Its a easy decision to make.

1. The manager has had a few clashes with his attitude.

2. He is too unreliable.

3. Sell and give the manager, who most obviously has the pulling power, a even bigger kitty. Rodgers suffered massively from not being a big name manager in the transfer market, which is patently not the case with Klopp and it will be stupid to worry that we will keep making the same mistakes in the transfer market.

Saying we shouldn't sell a player because he's on form is a lot different than saying we should buy another one because he's on form, it's a good point though, he would peak in value, and if we did want to sell that would be the best time. However that eventually conflicts with the main reason you wouldn't want to sell him, you'd be mad to want to sell Sturridge if there was any sign he was getting back to his best, because when he is, only Aguero is on the same level as him.

On the list of things that have held us back over the past couple of years, Sturridge probably isn't even in my top 10

Id say it was high up there.. considering we had a manager that built a team to play to his strengths post Suarez..

So when we he was injured without any adequate backup, we where fucked..

It was often said by Rodgers himself, the loss of Sturridge cost us..

To be fair Rodgers has had to explain away a lot of things after spending £100 million plus and not winning the league. Classic case of an average workman blaming his tools.

For £45m? Sell in a heartbeat. Terrific player (hence the fee) but completely unreliable. His best year(s) is/are already behind him thanks to his fucked up body / mind. Such a pity because this guy could have become one of our all-time greats...he was that good.

Its been dismissed already by France Football. Never been interested in signing Sturridge. Shocking...

Good news then, we'll still have top class striker next season
Does matter if he spends the majority of his time on the sidelines.

He needs to be on the pitch constantly and consistently delivering the goods before he can be considered 'Top Class'..

But how long can you expect him to be at his best ?

He's a luxury for me now. I don't think we'll get an offer that would make it worthwhile to sell him. Unless his salary inhibits some great move I'd prefer we just kept him and used him when he is fit.

Sturridge is a bit like the good room that you find in an old person's house that no one is allowed into in case something gets broken.

Injury record doesn't define the ability of a player you moron.

This. If we were to get a huge offer, that would change the situation, but we won't. Even with loadsamoney burning a hole in their bank account, neither PSG nor anyone else is going to gamble anywhere near £45 mill.on a player with Sturridge's injury record.
