11 games left.
Top three is guaranteed.
Two wins for top two.
Four wins to win the league.

Why does everyone keep saying this?

Four wins to win the league? We're 22 points ahead! There's only 33 points left to play for.... we could lose every game from now on and we could still win the league because City might not win all their games! Why does everyone keep talking about four games left to win the league?!

Because we still all think there is one mighty fuck up in this team and manager that could make us not win the title:

1) Plane crash kills entire 1st team
2) team bus crashes and entire 1st is crooked.
3) we get found out for doping and get deducted 50 points
4) every game from now on we start losing
5) The Fume come up with convincing evidence that we are being aided by uefa/pl/fifa/var/media...you name it and they find that smoking gun
6) last but not least, we have one match to win it, but in every match we cannot win because multiple players have a slip and we go onto lose the game, while city win all their remaining games and go onto win the title.

I very much doubt "we all" think any of that. I'm not sure even you do. We have to win 4 more games to make it mathematically certain, but that's as far as it goes.

Just win 4 more games is the focus and forget about the chasing pack and their games. Simple. Like. That.

Klopp is an actual freak. Many of us, including myself, were all bitching about our lack of activity in the market last summer. Klopp goes out and signs Van Den Berg, sticks him in the reserves and proceeds to break all known league records with his current squad. We haven't even been that fortunate with injuries. Alisson, Fabinho, Keita, Chamberlain and now Henderson have all spent time on the treatment table, but it doesn't matter. I don't think anything does any more really. Each weekend it's become a case of when we win, not if. How exciting will it be. Who will score the winning goal? Deciding whether we'd rather win the league title at Anfield or Goodison?

As someone whos waited for 30 years to see us win the league it's a bit surreal. Boss, but surreal.

For fuck's sake, moron

Man !!!! LOL - you were so open in your questioning - i was having those Ricky Gervais moment "don't say it to him, ... no say it to him...". Had to let the moron out !!!

In all seriousness barring something mental like points 1 or 2 - I think it is safe to say that we will win it, and also if 1 and 2 did happen - the FA would out of respect just hand the trophy over to LFC anyway and let the rest fight for positions 2 and below. Of course we would be fucked the following season coz we would have no manager or players left.

@SummerOnions - that is an incredible record, but the European one where he has never been knocked out in the knock-out stages is also incredible. Thing is though - much of this stuff is also down to the incredible support - especially on European nights - and he (Klopp) fucking knows it, and was actually very relaxed after that Althletico loss coz he knows what's waiting for those guys.....we all know ... they just don't know - do they ? I can smell their fear already....

I think it will be beautiful to win it at Anfield in front of a packed stadium, it would be just and right, no matter how fun it may seem to win it at Everton - it seems wrong.

It was a while ago but I remember Barcalona had not won the league in like 5 seasons and it was the game in which they could win it, and it was the side with Ronaldinho and Eto'o, - the whole stadium went quiet in the last few minutes as I think I remember them playing out a draw or something but it meant Barca were going to win the title - and there was all round relief at the final whistle, that was after 5 seasons, - we have waited 30 seasons - I think it would be more special to win it in our home stadium than anywhere else to spite a load of grumpy opposition fans. Win it with those that will take the most joy out of winning it.

I just don't want to win it against City because I'm flying back from Mexico that day and will likely miss the match. After this wait wouldn't that be my luck...

By the time the triumphant open-top bus parade is due I can see it being cancelled due to the Covid-19. I can't see the government wanting a million+ people cheering and spraying spittle into the air. Blue Fume will spontaneously combust as they point out this is retribution for their bus being bottled.

Squiggs: yep, and even more so for the likes of me who remember the last time we were winning everything in sight and have had the dickens of a job getting used to the comedown meanwhile..

We should use the wrecked City bus for the parade. We probably need to tow it around though as I guess it is way beyond the point of repair.

If City drop points at either United or home to Burnley we could win it at Woodison

Honestly I'd rather not in to the game against Everton needing to win it.

I'm sure we would, but my nerves can't take derby days as it is
