Doesn’t that mean the 9th game is at Everton. Win it and we go 25 clear with 24 to play for?
We’re 17 points ahead. Make up 8 over the next 9 games that makes 25 points. With 8 remaining that’s only 24 to play for.

For clarification - We both play nine EPL games between now and the 14th of March. There will then be eight games left to play.
So to win the league on the 14th of March at Woodison we need to finish the day 25 points clear of City. We are currently 'only' 17 points clear

They can, or they will? They certainly could, but they won't.
Like I said, "can". They've done it before, they can do it again. I don't trust any of the "big" teams except us to beat them whether they play them at home or away.

Live in the moment. Everyone is gutted we're playing so well and breaking records. That might end. Rub their faces in it while you've got the chance. This is peak schadenfreude right now. The state of the ev and citeh and manure fans right now. Its as good footy rivalry will ever get.
They can, but I believe it will be harder for them to get their shit 100% together when the gap is So big. Last season it was a do or die game every game, but this season there is no guarantee they will win anything even if they win every game. Mentaly that is tough

Exactly - we just need to win our games - keep that thought, and keep winning and the job is done. Any other thoughts that involve others doing us a favour should be flushed down the toilet - this is based on last seasons experience and reality.

This stat shows that we aren't exactly in a league that we could simply blow teams away like PSG and Barcelona with 50+ goal difference. So to say this isn't a competitive league is extremely misleading.
