Worth a punt?

That's what I get for not looking up stats. He's scored a couple, but comparing him to what we've got is a bit simplistic. By that logic we should buy Yakubu.
Still from what I've seen he's a classic winger. I want us to have a wing forward.
Someone who drift inwards, swap places with Suarez. Someone like Iniesta.
Johnson for me is a poor man's McManaman.
You haven't seen him enough. He plays both sides but is very dangerous cutting in from the right. Awesome shot and player but I might want a mentally strong winner with similar ability. His attitude worries me. 10 mil though is nothing for him. Id take the punt.

Isn't Bellamy a bit of a smug cunt but I would always have him in my team. His attitude towards the club, game and his ability not to mention what he brings to the team far outweigh the negative connotations and public perceptions.

My take is simple, sign players for their ability and what they can bring to the team. Sign winners. I don't want a team of nice guys, they come last. So on that note, 20M for both Adam and Adebayor and I'm chuffed.

Bellamy and Johnson are completely the opposite.
The point being made against Johnson is exactly the fact that those positive points you made about Bellamy aren't possessed by Johnson, apart from the ability bit.
I wouldn't mind getting Johnson at all, but someone at the club has to straighten him out.

OK you like the player and that's all good and well, but is he really the way forward?
Is he a player who can decide games? Can you possibly see him being mentioned in the same breath as Suarez and Gerrard in the future?
If he's so good why aren't Chelsea, Arsenal or even Tottenham after him? In the Daily Mail, it's Sunderland and Everton.

If we buy Johnson, we'll be IMO buying another mediocre premiership player in his mid 20s.
I do agree that £10 Million is a decent fee but I'd rather add another 5 or 10 million and get a world class player.

In short, why buy Adam Johnson, when there are players like Belhanda, Jovetic, Ramirez etc available?

Throw money at him

Stevan Jovetic has revealed that it is his dream to emulate Francesco Totti at Fiorentina after declaring his wish to stay at the Artemio Franchi for the foreseeable future.

The forward made it clear that he is a huge admirer of the Roma forward, who has spent his entire playing career with the Giallorossi, and now he is ready to commit his own future to his current employers in the hope of achieving similar success to the Italian.

"Being captain of Fiorentina would be a source of pride for me, but we already have one," Jovetic told Il Corriere dello Sport:

"My dream, however, is to become like Totti. I also really want to play European football again with Fiorentina.

"What are the chances of me not playing for Fiorentina next season? Very little."

I dont know enough about Belhanda. But yeah, I'd take him over Jovetic and Ramirrez. first of all he plays in a position we need unlike Jovetic, and he's got the full bag of tricks, pace and scores goals. He may not be Suarez or Gerrard, but he'd be Young or Valencia for us. A guy who can score 10 truly from the wing would be immense for us. He's got 6 so far without ever getting a run of games. He is 24.

I don't like the 'without ever getting a run of games' bit.

Why is that, he's injured lot?
