Roberto Mancini has decided to offload unhappy Manchester City winger Adam Johnson at the end of the season in a move that has sparked immediate interest from Sunderland.
The 24-year old, snapped up from Middlesbrough for £7million two years ago, has grown restless at a lack of starting opportunities and is ready for a fresh start.
Mancini is in no mood to stand in his way, after harbouring doubts over his attitude and willingness to accept defensive responsibility, and will listen to offers.

A £10m asking price, and wages of £50,000 a week, are likely to rule Everton out of the race, despite manager David Moyes' interest.
Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill, however, will do everything he can to put together a package that would be acceptable to City and Johnson and is the frontrunner for his signature.
Would anyone else want this lad? Still only 24 ... He scores goals, pacy and costs half a Downing. Would be our LW straight away ...
