Jones' goal was impressive, but Messi's was better IMO, because the Iranian player closed him down very well. In this case, Nani was a stride behind and Jones had more room to shoot. Still a fantastic goal, no doubt.

Yeah their chances look bleak, requiring a quite specific set of circumstances - Germany to beat USA, themselves to beat Ghana, and then have at least a +5 GD swing in their favour. Still possible (e.g. Germany win by 2 or 3, they win by the remainder) but the odds are against them.

Great to see the number of surprises this World Cup has served up so far.

Actually I think most people were hoping USA would qualify and ditch those twats Portugal out of the WC. They still have a great chance but Ghana probably have a better one now (wins for Germany and Ghana would do it).

As for tougher group, when you consider how well Costa Rica are playing, and how poorly Portugal are, there is no doubt which is the tougher group.
