It was the long-ball of long-ball tactics.
They won a lot of games when undertipped however and often when backed to win they lost. I remember I never knew what to expect of them - well apart for the hoofing and kicking obviously.

Wigan last year was possibly the most depressing thing I've ever watched. After less than 5 minutes I knew we were going to play terribly and get beat, yet still had to sit through it all 🙁
