Gene, dmishra - Worncock has a lot in common with Allardyce, in that he not only (a) is an industrial-strength @rsehole but also (b) sends his teams out to hack their way through the opposition and (c) has had a lot to say about LFC in the past, none of it respectful, especially when we've beaten whoever he was managing at the time.
You might recall the fuss Sheffield United made a few seasons ago when they dropped out of the Prem after failing to beat Wigan (their nearest relegation rivals) at home on the last day of the season and tried to blame their fate on West Ham, who just managed to stay up, and the deal they pulled off to sign Tevez. Well, perhaps not surprisingly Worncock as the Blades manager at the time led the chorus.

tbf jules i think warnock had a point there, west ham got away with murder on the tevez signing, still a total prick of course.
back on topic, i'm not at all convinced about rijkaard. while i do agree he did a great job with barca, i just don't think he'd be able to bring that to liverpool - barca are a special case in being able to attract the biggest talents like ronaldinho - and his time in charge of galatasaray (and others) bears that out.
there aren't really many managers about who i think would definitely do as well or better than benitez - i think mourinho might be the only one. but there are loads of decent risks we could go for that i'd be happy enough to see get the job:
quique sanchez flores
unai emery
manuel pellegrini
jogi loew
and then at the bottom of the scale the likes of di matteo, coyle, even michael laudrup or slaven bilic.
one thing i would worry about a bit with some of them, though, is their level of english, especially being thrown in at the deep end, in the middle of the season and in our position.
