Today? He started with one up front, even after we have played so well recently with another striker. He played Henderson out wide when we/he everyone knows he is better in the middle. Then he took off our best player and left the worst players on the pitch.
Borini should have started in place of Sturridge and Henderson in the middle.

Gerrard/Lucas/Henderson has looked so good of late.
Only a MONG would fuck that up. Typical manager thinking he's smarter than he is bullshit.

We aren't good enough to get creative, our best team should play.

To be fair, Borini didn't show anything to suggest his presence from the start would lead to a different outcome. Personally I think it made sense to move Suarez back up front, where he has been playing very effectively for most of the season.

And Henderson has played on the left in what many people said was our best performance of the season in Manchester. He did well tonight too and got into the box regularly. I think the starting 11 was OK, but substitutions were wrong. It should have been simply Sterling for Shelvey with Hendo moving to the middle and Gerrard moving up to form a "reverse triangle." We lost too much time and momentum by changing the shape after the double substitution.

Our fullbacks were shocking tonight. No doubt Rodgers got it wrong aswell, but the lack of effort from some of our players today was unbelivable.

Whatever happened to that Shelvey Messiah bollocks thread eh?

Shelvey AND Lucas AND Sterling are the messiah's, you've missed it. We have to refer to Lucas as fucking 'wonderman' aswell, and claim the other two fuckers are the next Messi's.

The conclusions you're drawing are bogus. Your reasoning is all over the place. You've written off Rodger's signings before they've completed a year here. You're constantly harping on about results against lesser teams as if cup shocks are unheard of. They're not. Every team will have its fair share of slip-ups over the course of a season, particular one with several new players and a new manager. Nobody was happy to lose to Oldham in the way that we did, but the reason people aren't topping themselves over it is because they've got one eye on the bigger picture. You're placing much more emphasis on negatives than positives, and it serves to discredit anything useful you might have to say.

Don't misunderstand me. I'm not suggesting I'm a better fan than you. I'm simply saying that there doesn't appear to be much evidence of your support. You seem to spend the vast majority of the time berating the club, the manager, and the players. It's like supporting the club is a burden to you, constantly marked by disappointment. Anyone would think the club did a Paddy on you or something. Face facts. We aren't the Liverpool of old, and I think it's about time you come to terms with that, and recognize that we're on a much longer road than you seem to think. By all means reminisce about the glory days, but don't use it as a stick to beat the new manager with.
Sometimes it feels like aburden my mate... But luckily not more than 60% of the time 😉

I haven't read this thread but I think we played really well tonight. If we'd have scored that pen we'd have won.

But what about Countinho? He's the smallest player I've ever seen in this league. I reckon Lukaku has bigger shits than him. I reckon Lukaku's dick is bigger than him. Sterling looks like a massive steroid abusing cunt next to him.

We looked good, and we should have won it comfortably. Still I had that sneaking feeling after 55-60 mins that this would not end well.

We need to grow a huge set of no nonsense team cajones. Stop letting all kind of shit team fuck us up. Stop accepting mediocracity, either it comes from not putting away a clear chance, a penalty or loosing your man on defensive set piece. We do all self damage there is in the book, and then add some!

Didn't see the game, but I'm really annoyed to hear that Agger fucked up. Again. Missing a sitter and being at fault for both goals? Christ of almighty. It's embarrassing. Where do we go from here? It's pretty apparent our defence needs sorting out, pronto. Come the end of the season, we don't have one decent centre back. Carra retiring, Agger and Skrtel not good enough and Coates being shit. It's a bleak future. Next season is going to be an action replay of this season.
