Third manager sacked by Watford this season. Surely there has got to be a rule that you can only sack 1 manager in season per year. I hope they go down so much.

Odd decision really. Presumably he was given the target to keep them up. He might well have done that, the season isn't over and they aren't in the relegation zone.

Plus, what can a new manager realistically do in the next 2 games?

Bizarre. Even by Watford's standards.

It’s not even as if they have anyone really good taking over. They have Hayden Mullins. He’s already been caretaker manager once this season and didn’t win any games then!

Why should there be a rule for how many managers you can sack in a season?
Because it makes a mockery of the premier league and causes the club to spend millions in compensation.

They should live with what they have got or have a caretaker for the rest of the year if they sack a second manager.

THat's the clubs decision to make though surely, WHy should the Premier League care about that.

Let's not go into the mockery of the league, this league is corrupt as it is.

When you think of the top 10 things that make this league a joke, trust me clubs sacking managers isn't 1 of them.

You can’t just sack and hire players on a whim throughout the season so why should managers differ?

It's the manager's decision if they want to sack or suspend players, if the club wants to sack it's manager, they can...it's their club.

Yes you can. You can sack and hire players whenever you want. You just can't register them until the next window

Ok, I articulated that incorrectly. You only have 2 windows to bring in players to utilise within the match day squad. Why should managers be any different?

It’s the clubs employees that play the game. They should just sack and hire who they want. Except it’s not that simple.

Clubs can do what they want in regards to managers. It's their prerogative and their money.

Chelsea had some decent success changing managers every 12-18 months. Watford also has changed managers frequently and until now it's kept them in the league and took them on the cusp of Europe a few seasons back. Fans only want to acknowledge frequent managerial turnover when it's not working, but won't mention it when it delivers.

Bournemouth stuck admirably with Eddie Howe are effectively relegated. Few are lambasting that decision.

No issue at all with sacking the manager. But this is ridiculous.

But Watford had 9 Points from 16 games when they hired Pearson

Since he took charge, they have have taken 25 points from 20 games.

They have only two games left, against City and Arsenal. Their fate is 90% tied to what Bournemouth and Villa do now. If Bournemouth drops a single point against Everton, they go down.

There is absolutely no reason to sack Pearson now, even if he had punched a player in the balls.
