It came out straight away in alot of the initial mumurings, local press I know who have a fairly reliable inside track have been told someone at the club got a massive bollocking. I think Macca has said more or less the same from his sources too.
It's still early days and I'm always the first to tell people to be patient in a transfer window.
As I said a few weeks back though, this is a crucial season, back in the CL and it's time to act like a team in the CL and build on what we have for a push this season on both fronts.
United were a laughing stock at times last season but have got their shit together with no nonsense in the transfer market. City were looking like they could be on the slide but have also bought quality, while the Champions just added even more brilliance to an already fairly remarkable team.
We identified three main targets early, like public acknowledgement (deliberate leaks?) would be enough - "here's our intentions". Same old story, we get a sniff of the big time and we can't help but shoot our mouths off before we've achieved anything, and now (again) we look like a laughing stock for failing to act like a big club and (unsurprisingly) being unable to be clinical in the hunt for players.
We've got money, we've got history, we've got a great manager, yet we predictably fuck it all up and look like bumbling fools who can't put a deal together, without trying smoke and mirrors bullshit that fools no one but ourselves.

Yeah maybe. They probably got loads of problems. It was at the London Carriageworks and we were on the next table. At first Tom Werner looked like he was trying to cheer them up. John Henry and Linda were stirring into space so maybe they'd had an argument or some shit, but after a while even Tom packed in, and they all sat there leaning on their arms sharing a bottle of water, saying fuck all, for ages. It was a valuable lesson to the kids I'd taken out. Go skiing and festivals and traveling and don't worry too much about making loads of money, coz look.

Saw an amazing stat on Lukaku the other day .. last two seasons he has been the PL player with either the lowest ave. distance covered per match (two seasons ago) or 3rd to 4th lowest last season. That is including every single player that made a 90 minute appearance. As you said, one lazy bastard.
Or you could alternatively argue that combined with his scoring stats, that proves he is the most effective striker in the league.
After all that's some economy of movement & energy to get those kind of goals in return.
