Trent, Salah and VVD

It is strange Jude hasn’t posted anything at all, even cryptically. I still think Trent stays and is just negotiating the best possible deal which is fine.

I’m with Dreamie on this - I’m not so sure he isn’t signing a new contract.

The club may have turned down the offer because l, as mentioned in the Athletic article, him playing a big part in us winning trophies this season and leaving on a free is worth more RM would offer.

It’s possible we’ve said no because a deal is doable and close - it reaffirms that we want him to stay.

Anyway… as long as we keep winning, I couldn’t give a fuck what happens. (Until later).

I don't like to use the same material twice.
give this a whirl

You might not agree but how can you say the pull of the most successfully, well known and celebrated club in world football is something you don’t understand for the majority of football players?

Because I don’t think they are - I have zero reverence for them. They are the original man city - state funded - entitled (see Balon d’or) and they’ve come to our club to tap up our talent without paying and are in the second best league in the world. They are our euro rivals.

fuck ye i was polishing my pitchfork until you posed this theory, it would be delicious if he’s fucking with madrid. still looks unlikely but all hope isn’t lost.
That would be fucking magic and in true Dumb and Dumber style, totally redeem him.
This means more, a red for life, a boyhood scouser who just gets it.

What Klopp said still rings true. It’s not important what people think when you walk in, it’s fair more important what people think when you leave. As Owen still struggles to understand, it doesn’t matter how many goals you scored for us or how many trophies you helped us win, if you leave in a bad way or for a rival or a perceived bigger club then you’ll be hated and given less love than rubbish players who gave everything for the club and were gutted to leave. LFC is a family, Liverpool as a city is a family dating way back prior to Thatchers antics and anyone who had grown up there and decides to throw it all away will always be subject to apathy at best but more often than not hatred ala Momo,
How Trent leaves (whether now or in 10 years) will determine how he’s seen in the city and at Anfield for the rest of his life.

I still think he will stay and say all the right things.

That’s fair but understanding 99% of people don’t see it that way then surely you understand why the draw is huge for 99% of people.

I doubt 99% of Liverpool fans see it the way you suggest where it’s a dream to play for the Man city of Spain. And that’s all that matters here
