So Pepe is our number 2 potentially? Brendan won't e happy as Pepe is a strong unhappy personality = disruptive.

Whats Courtois doing at Athletico, is he nearing a return? I can see Reina there with us subsidising it.

I've seen a number of suggestions in the press that he's coming back to the Chavs, but no direct quotes on the subject.

Didn't someone post something on here a day or two back about the Arse being interested in Reina?

I wonder how much Pepe is on, this is like the Johnson situation, it's just stupid. And any mugs that take them off us, we're going to have to stump up the lions share of their wages for the remainder of their contract. By all accounts, it's quite a bit north of 100k, I've read some say 100k other say 150k.

As for Courtois, Chelski need to be need to be careful, he's got 1yr left on his contract and he looks to be one of the best keepers in the world and they could lose him on a free. If I was them I'd fuck Cech off and keep Courtois. They've offered him a contract but he's not signed it.

He's got two years.

If that happens

There have been quite a few Adam Johnson rumours lately in the tabloids, possible swap with Borini mentioned.

Would be amazed and gutted if anything came of this one.

Liverpool are set to open talks with German club Hoffenheim over a deal for midfielder Roberto Firmino.

The Reds have been tracking Firmino closely in the last few months, and now manager Brendan Rodgers wants to push ahead with a deal.
According to reports in Germany, Liverpool chief Ian Ayre will fly out to open negotiations with Hoffenheim over 22-year-old in the coming days.

Firmino, a creative midfielder who can play on the wing or as a striker, is also a target for Chelsea after scoring 16 goals and picking up 11 assists in 33 matches last term.

He was unlucky to miss out on a place in the Brazil squad for the World Cup, but he has a bright future in the game.

Liverpool value him at about £15million but could go to £20million to get their man.

It amuses me greatly when articles do this. I wish they'd just say 'market values & the selling club's expectations of price are between 15 - 20m'.

Even if they do have a solid source there's no fucking way they're spilling their guts over the maximum price we're prepared to pay, & everyone knows it.

This would be great if it was true. It is not.

You forgot to put your source and when I googled it was

WANTED: Ukraine winger Andriy Yarmolenko [GETTY]
The 24-year-old has been a long-term target for Brendan Rodgers, who failed in his attempts last year to talk Dynamo Kiev into letting him leave for less than £23m.
But having reduced their asking price to closer to £15m, Liverpool are now reportedly keen on kick-starting new negotiations this summer.
But the Reds will now have face interest from their Premier League rivals Chelsea, who have also been alerted to Russian born Yarmolenko's low price tag.
Jose Mourinho is looking to add more proven goal-scorers to his side for the 2014/15 campaign, with the Ukrainian forward's current record boasting 54 in 146 games for Kiev.
The news comes just days after Chelsea announced the signing of Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas.
The 27-year-old joined on a five-year-deal after revealing his former club Arsenal had turned down the chance at buying him back.
Other Chelsea targets include Porto star Eliaquim Mangala and Barca midfielder Alex Song.

Costa Rica forward Joel Campbell has confirmed he will return toArsenal following the World Cup in Brazil this summer, having spent the last three seasons out on loan with Lorient, Real Betis andOlympiakos.

Another rumour coming out if Italy sees Inter Milan as the latest team to be linked with in-demand Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku. The Belgium international, who has spent the last two seasons out on loan with West Brom and Everton, has been linked with the Serie A club in a swap deal involving Argentina’s Mauro Icardi, according to theGazzetta dello Sport.
