Transfer Rumours

I wouldn't be surprised to see FFP revised soon, because clubs (and the sport in general) clearly found a loophole to exploit straight away. Should they just make it applicable to certain income? Like money from the league, money for progress in competitions, etc. That would surely be fairer.

That's difficult though because the PL clearly has a major impact on the income of PL clubs. Not so those in say France for example.

"and how can a sponsorship be retroactive FFS) such as that of PSG with Qatar"

Platini's son works for Qatar Sports Investment ffs. You really couldn't make this shit up

A fucking nest of slithering, sneaky, two-faced conniving twats. Football really is fucked .. the legacy of Blatter & Platini.

Add the bollocks about the World Cup being held there... it's enough material for a conspiracy blockbuster.

We should list all of the linked players and do a percentage thing for how likely we reckon they are.
We should also do disclaimer that "The thoughts and opinions of posters of 6CM has no bearing on the procedures and processes of Liverpool Football Club. Liverpool Football Club will purchase players and sell players to what sees as fit. With this in mind posters should not get overly worked up at posts by other 6cm members"

Are you sure ? Like 100% sure ?

I'm not. I'm sure I've seen Pascoe on Tapatalk during match time and some of those subs ....

Yeah, it would add a little spice to transfer window
Perhaps posters could register their valuation of a player and when he eventually gets transferred(to wherever) we can take the average and see how totally 'in the know' or 'fucking crap' we are. Might take a bit of programming though, poor Morse must spend ages counting MotM votes.

Dejan Lovren of Southampton
Planned £40m move for Saints pair will be central to summer recruitment drive, with Xherdan Shaqiri and Ryan Bertrand also on the hit-list

Lovren-and-Lallana-main.jpg

We'll take two: Southampton's Lovren (left) and Lallana are both wanted by Liverpool
Liverpool are preparing a sensational £40million DOUBLE swoop for Southampton stars Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren.
The Anfield giants' manager Brendan Rodgers wants to make the Saints an offer they can't refuse for the duo... and a massive statement of intent for next season, when the five-times winners return to the Champions League/European Cup.
Midfielder Lallana already looks Kop-bound, after indicating the Reds are the only club he's interested in joining despite offers from Manchester United and Tottenham.
And - as we reported back in March - Reds manager Rodgers is determined to make it a St Mary's double, by offering the same amount for centre-back Lovren, who was one of the Premier League hits of the season in his debut campaign.

  • Croatia international Lovren only arrived last summer from Lyon for a fee of around £8m. But has proven beyond doubt he can cope with the physical demands of English football, and is the defensive leader Liverpool have been desperately searching for. (Not for fucking £20m, they haven't)
Rodgers will have close on £50m to spend - plus anything he raises by selling off fringe players - and wants to make an impact with three top-class, big-money signings.
The Saints' pair will be the central focus of his transfer policy this summer, but he also wants a left back and a top-class forward - and he has already identified two main targets in those positions.
Rodgers is a massive admirer of Bayern Munich forward Xherdan Shaqiri and is confident of a cut-price deal for the Swiss international, who has found starts hard to come by at the Allianz Arena.

The talented attacker is versatile to play all along the front line, but has been unable to force his way into Bayern's regular starting XI since a £10m move from Switzerland's Basel 18 months ago.
Liverpool feel they will be able to tempt the 22-year-old to England for a similar fee.
Doing so will mean there is money left over to pursue a left-back, with Chelsea's Ryan Bertrand top of the list.

Ryan-Bertrand.jpg

Ryan's gig: Chelsea loaned Bertrand to Villa, will they sell him to Liverpool?

While Jose Mourinho will be reluctant to allow any of his players leave for a club that is now very much a direct rival, Bertrand - loaned out to Aston Villa for the second half of the season just ended - has only two years left on his contract, and the Blues may be tempted to cash in if Liverpool are prepared to offer around £7m.
Lovren remains Rodgers' primary target, but the sales of the likes of Daniel Agger, Iago Aspas, Pepe Reina, Luis Alberto and perhaps even Fabio Borini would raise sufficient funds for the manager to pursue all of his targets AND another midfielder - perhaps in a holding position.

I think Lovren was the best CB outside any top 4 club this season - if we're signing a CB, he'd be at the top of my wish list. He looks like a leader and has the right age and experience level for the kind of CB we want coming into the first team.

Bring Lovren and play him alongside Skrtel; and then let Ilori and Sakho fight for the position of Skrtel's long term replacement.

Is he the cerebral, leader kind or another SKrtel?

Lovren is a decent player, but forget their historic transfers and that Lallana is english, the pair together must be worth about 20mill, not fucking 40.
This is going to be a very silly silly-season. There will be some teams spunking their increased TV revenue, and the scum trying to buy anything that moves.

Lovren is very good. The fee will be decent though...

Lovren Sakho could be very good imho.

If Lovren comes, I think he will play in place of not with Skrtel. Sakho and Agger will be fighting for the left-side berth.

Why do you say that? Skrtel for all his flaws, was our best defender by far this season. Sakho has been unconvincing, and Agger is likely to be sold.

Lovren also generally plays LCB and not RCB - that's certainly where I've seen him play in his partnership with Fonte at Southampton and with Cris at Lyon.

I don't think it's a simple either/or. We'll have quite a few more big games to play next season, so (a) we need more options and (b) they'll be used - the first team is going to change more often than it did in the season just gone. Lovren could replace (or be replaced by) any of the other CBs at different times.

I'd be more than happy to lose skrtel and Agger this summer and spend some serious money on a couple of decent CB's. Neither of them pair have actually 'come good' in all the years they've been here, they're not terrible, both just 'ok'. We need CB's like carra and sami.
