Rodgers will send some boys round to Aspas' house with some hurling sticks to sort him out.

borini's now spoke with sunderland apaz. we'd probably be on break even net spend if we get that 14 mill. sell agger, aspas and some others and we should deffo still see a good bit of spending yet.

@LFCFansCorner: Liverpool are closing in on deals for full backs Alberto Moreno and Javier Manquillo, according to the Times.

@ViktorFagerLFC: #LFC would pay up to £16m for Moreno. It's understood a breakthrough has been made on valuation in the recent days. (Tony Barrett)

What? We are getting a whole new squad. Just when I have got used to the names and mediocrity that is left behind apart from Raheem Coutinho Henderson Sturridge .....

Aspas has told Moreno to reject us because the quality of life is better is Seville.

I'd love to slap the gaunt little cunt.

These bitter losers are forming their own great tradition:

Andriy Vornin, now without a club, is said to be considering retirement from the game.

At only 33, former Liverpool player Milan Jovanovic has hung up his boots. The Serbian spent a year at Anfield after he was signed on a free transfer from Standard Liege in July 2010, before being shipped off to Anderlecht. After a stint there he has failed to find another club and now retires from football.

Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin will not be leaving the club, insists manager Ronald Koeman, despite the midfielder handing in a transfer request. The 20-year-old Frenchman has been linked with a move to join up with former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham, with Spurs reported to be ready to pay £20 million.

James Milner says the number of minutes he gets at Manchester City will determine whether he signs a new contract. The England international has entered the final 12 months of his current deal at the Etihad Stadium.

I love it here and hopefully I can be here for a long time to come. But that’s determined on how much football I get. I just want to feel like I’m contributing.

Quintero is very good isn't he. They don't need him at all. Odd move.

Quintero is a similar player to Shakiri in my eyes. Is that a correct assertion?

Here James Pearce mentions (towards the end of the clip) that we will soon be putting all our attentions on another striker as "Sturridge, Lambert and Borini, is not enough for a full season with our commitments" or words to that effect.

So since it is looking more and more likely Borini will move to Sunderland does that mean e.g. Bony plus Shaqiri or a similar duo ? Or two out and out strikers (unlikely IMO) ?

We need to find a world class player who can win us big games, and i'm sure our scouts will Reus to the occasion.

Manchester United's Mats Hummels transfer could be on.. if Liverpool lend a hand
Van Gaal's been eyeing the Borussia Dortmund defender for months and now the Germans have approached the Kop about his potential replacement

Gold Trafford? Will world champion Hummels soon be playing his football at Man United?
Manchester United are closing in on a deal for Germany World Cup winner Mats Hummels - with help from arch-rivals Liverpool.
Louis van Gaal’s chase for Borussia Dortmund centre-half Hummels was back on late Thursday evening with the two clubs near to agreement on a £20million switch.
And the Old Trafford giants’ chances have been massively boosted as the Bundesliga side opened talks with Liverpool about borrowing their young Portuguese defender Tiago Ilori.
The 21-year-old would be loaned to Dortmund for the season as Hummels’ replacement - a move that the Reds' manager Brendan Rodgers would allow.
Ilori was signed from Sporting Lisbon a year ago and loaned out to Spanish side Granada for experience in January. But he made only nine starts for them, and is still just short of being a first-team starter.

Liverpool would be happy to see him play in the fast, physical Bundesliga - even if it means old foes United benefit in the short term.
The fact that Dortmund have begun work on a replacement for Hummels is a major lift for United, who badly need a senior defender and have been chasing the 25-year-old for months.
Dortmund traditionally only allow one big-name player to leave each season and striker Robert Lewandowski has already moved to Bayern Munich, but United are chasing hard.

Van Gaal has admired Hummels for years. The coach admits his squad needs brains at the back and he would be ideal for his needs.
United have the cash available to close the transfer and this breakthrough is a decisive turn for better as their new manager puts a new side - and formation - together.

Sky Bet have reported a significant surge in bets on Manchester United signing Everton midfielder James McCarthy this summer, prompting them to slash the odds in from 5/4 to 1/3.

Sky Bet sources understand that Manchester United have lined up a bid for Everton midfielder James McCarthy this summer, but are waiting until August 201st when his release clause increases by £5M before making their move.

Good player McCarthy. Lot of work still to be done, but the cunts are doing a decent job rebuilding their team.

Nothing that great at all. They are basically doing what we are being accused of doing by some on here and by the Mancs .... buying players of potential rather than the Stars their support are demanding. They have added Shaw / Herrera and possibly McCarthy if we are to believe this link, there is absolutely nothing special in that.

My concern, if I were a Manc, is that with just 4 weeks to go they haven't shifted even one of the players they deemed not good enough at the end of last season and have instead lost 3 very experienced and high quality players (Vidic, Ferdinand and Evra) of proven leadership, even if their best days are behind them. There is no way they are going to be bringing in 3-4 top players when they still have far too big a squad for a CL-less campaign. In fact I doubt they could attract 4 top players even if they had cleared the decks ready for them. Players of the quality of McCarthy, maybe Hummels, may be the best they can attract .... assuming Vidal wants to stay at Juve.

Didnt Klopp dismiss this story as 'garbage' last week, and why would a defender who cant get a game at Liverpool or Grenada be considered a make or break acquisition for Dortmund to replace their best defender. Whole story seems made up to me

If we get through this window without Utd buying in 2 or 3 world class talents like Vidal, Pogba, Reus, etc, then we've done fucking well IMO.

Their squad is still pretty shit as of now. It needed major, major, investment. Herrera, Shaw, McCarthy is nowhere near enough. Obviously LDV is a much better coach than Moyes, but I think they'll still struggle to finish top 4 if that's the sort of business they end up having done.
