Transfer Rumours

It's just the sheer amount of dross in Utd's squad that amazes me. There are so many players there and so little quality. I like Januzaz, and Carrick is decent, but otherwise?

Fellaini
Cleverley
Nani
Young
Welbeck
Hernandez
Smalling
Rafael

Shit.

On the other hand there's no CL and an easy start, so they can't be ruled out.

The front 3 has shown no sign of working together yet, though. Not saying it won't but it doesn't worry me. I think Rooney and RVP are both well past their best, too. I'm not sure how much the latter has got left in him.

Moyes didn't have a clue what he was doing, especially in the final 3rd, i would be really surprised if he(VG) didn't get them clicking, just playing Mata in the middle will make a big difference.

van Persie would be my bet to be top goal scorer again next season, with Mata and Rooney in and around him he will get plenty of chances, you just need to get the ball to him in the box and he rarely fucks around, he also takes the pens, injuries might do for him but i haven't seen anything yet that suggests his footballing abilities are on the wane.

The gayer is a decent keeper, I'd still have Courtois, Cech, Begovic, Lloris, Howard definitely, and possibly Mignolet and Krul over him. And he plays for them cunts, so he's a cunt. And he looks like fucking teenwolf.

I can't stand him, especially in an England shirt but Rooney is still a very good Premier League player and De Gea is one of the best goalkeepers around, best in the league last season, one of their few bright spots.

I thought he looked poor in the world cup after the first game, but maybe LGB can work his magic on him.

whaaaaaaaaaa
Where's that 'is mental' smiley gone

We talking about the same keeper?!

Not even a fucking beach ball to blame with this one! :

I've just had a look, and the bookies are saying that Micah Richards is close to evens (11/8) to join us. So I'm classing anything as close to even to join us as absolute junk. Reus is 15/8.
Glen Johnson is 5/2 to go to PSG! - Considering they spent 50mill on a right useless cunt, we might be able to ship them another one!! Call it 25mill and we've got a deal.

Yeah he didn't do much after but its not like he was missing chances left and right and the Dutch did play pretty negative in the knock outs.

The bloke is lethal in the penalty box, if he gets the service which i expect he will with Mata in behind then hes gonna get a fair few.

Hopefully he has another injury ravaged season, would certainly do us a favour if he did.

The vermin to the scum done and dusted then

[article=http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28609402]Speaking at a news conference on Friday, Wenger said defender Vermaelen is injured but admitted: "It is a possibility that he goes."[/article]

Dortmund must have turned down their 300 quid offer for Hummels.

v.Persie is on the way down, he's 31 yrs old next month (compare to Lambert and what we have been saying about him age-wise) and his injury issues will likely crop up again soon - no way is he going to be anywhere near top goal scorer next season.

Those 3 didn't work well together under Moyes so the issue may be that they just don't click - we know RvP and Rooney have had this issue, Ferguson benched Rooney due to their relative incompatibility.

Let's also not forget that Moyes was no newbie manager and yet he's had to shoulder all the blame, whereas personally I'd put at least 50% on the team, aging and lacking in quality, in all but name this is not the same team that won the PL just 2 years ago. LvG might inspire a few to raise their game for a short while, but class, or lack of it, will tell at the end of a long season.

Sorry Mors but you haven't a clue on this one, you have just proved it with that list.

Also well done for finding his one big fuck up in the Carling Cup, surely you don't base your opinion of him as a goalkeeper on that single moment, surely? Mors? lol.

Go and find a clanger he made in the league last season, you will struggle, from what i saw last season he really was their one shining light, saved them even more embarrassment.

So which ones is teenwolf better than out of Courtois, Cech, Begovic, Lloris, Howard?
I doesn't look like I can find many fail compilations for keepers, I did try. But the gayer is not all that. He's good, but not great, and not as good as any of the above.

It doesn't matter that he's 31, i don't know why people get so hitched up on this age thing, as soon as a player hits 30 he gets written off nowadays, never understood that one and will never buy it.

If you think he won't be anywhere near top scorer because of injuries then fair enough, if it for any other reason then i disagree there, he is a lethal finisher and has great movement in the box, if he gets the service which he most likely will he will score plenty, i suspect having van Gaal there will give him a boost mentally as well.

Again Moyes didn't have a clue what he was doing, he had no idea in what to do in the final 3rd, he had Mata out wide swinging in crosses a lot of the time and he rarely played him centrally, i'd expect it will be a lot more coherent for them up there this season, the other parts of the pitch are their main concerns.

Like i said i thought he was the best goalkeeper in the league last season and is one of the best keepers around, as much as i dislike them i can't pretend some of their best players are not all that, he was quality for them, without him and Rooney they would have struggled to be top half of the table.

Did he make in the team of the year? honestly can't remember but if he and Rooney were both not top 2 in their club awards it would be a surprise.

Dunno how i have got into this situation of talking up some of their players and arguing the toss about them, i don't like it, lol.

He did better than Lloris, who cost Spurs a few goals and some nearly goals last season with his over-eagerness to rush out and sweep. Unfortunately for him, he didn't always make the right decisions on when to come out for it. Also, if you're pointing out De Gea's howler against Sunderland, how can you then list Howard, who had some tasty howlers himself last season against Chelsea and City? In fact, he was absolutely shit against City when we needed Everton to get a result to help our title hopes.

Its time for "predict-who-will-finish-where." I'm enjoying the fact that very few pundits are giving us a chance of finishing in the top 4,never mind last season's top 2 finish, (Darren Gough is a notable recalcitrant). European commitments (how, many in August 2013, predicted that we would run the eventual champions ragged to the final game?),the loss of Suarez and, of course, the Tottenham Hotspurs "sailor-on-shore-leave" spending factor.

Really? Like who?

We've got a great chance of top 4.

Of course it matters. Look at SG. Lost a bit of pace, lost a lot of stamina and strikers have to do quite a bit more chasing than a DM. His age will also be detrimental to resilience to injury and recovery from.

As I said with Moyes, the general perception is that it is all his fault, the reality is slightly different but someone had to take the hard fall. He can choose the team but how they play on the pitch is something else and even Ferguson didn't like what he saw with Rooney & RvP. Ross would love this one.

Until the transfer window slams shut it's very difficult to forecast because a top player here or there could make all the difference. As of this moment though (and my opinion varies by the day) : 1. City 2. Chelsea 3. Liverpool 4. Arsenal or United.

Nah - think we will definitely win it this year:-

1) Liverpool, 2) Chelsea/ManCity 3) Arsenal/United 4) who gives a fuck

Arsenal may make a move to sign former Liverpool defender Alvaro Arbeloa, 31, from Real Madrid if Thomas Vermaelen, 28, leaves the Emirates Stadium.AS (in Spanish) (external)

Not sure how good he is these days, would he be alright on the cheap?

DiMarzio saying that Rafael Paez (one of our U21 CBs) is going on loan to Serie B side Bologna, with a permanent transfer option at the end of the loan.
