Transfer Rumours 21/22

Would Dortmund sell Sancho and Haaland in one summer. I know their business model is to build talent and sell it for a fortune but either one will be going for near £100m so surely it makes sense to hold onto one of them until the market bounces back

If Haaland stays he'll be gone for about 66 mill £ next summer given his release clause. I agree about not selling both though. Sancho will be going this summer for 80ish mill £, and they wont sell both.

Maybe Dortmund are happy with Bellingham's progression so quickly and are just happy to buy players a similar level to Sancho for less than the premium UK clubs are willing to pay for him. Seems sensible if they can cash in.

Little Pep wants Anfield move according to EOTK

Croatia left-back Joško Gvardiol has claimed he always supported Liverpool as a youngster and would one day love an Anfield transfer.

“From a young age, I watched Liverpool games with my dad and I grew up with just them,” Gvardiol told 24hr Sata.

“When I took football more seriously, I started following them, and I definitely want the Premier League and Liverpool move one day.”

He has signed for RB Leipzig and will move there 1st of July. Apparently a very talented defender.

From the Guardian:

Dortmund want £77.5m (€90m) for Sancho. The Bundesliga club, who are determined to resist Chelsea’s attempts to buy Erling Haaland, will not stand in the 21-year-old’s way if United offer that.

The best young player in every squad at Euro 2020
United have reached agreement over personal terms with Sancho. It is understood they are prepared to hand the England international a five-year deal worth about £350,000 a week. However the club must decide whether to bow to Dortmund’s demands.

350k a week…

Sterling is good, but we just don't have that money. You can get nearly as good for half the price at a younger age.

Even if we had the money, no point spending it on Sterling. Seems the whole signing seems very unlike Klopp and FSG even less unless Shity proposed a very favourable buy now, pay later deal.

It's never gonna happen
Liverpool are preparing to make a move for Lazio's Serbia midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp identifying the 26-year-old as his top target to replace Netherlands international Georginio Wijnaldum after his move to Paris St-Germain. (Il Messaggero, via Team Talk)

What's the view on Kalvin Phillips? Had a man-of-the-match performance apparently today...Ive never really noticed him but just been catching up and seems he's highly rated part of the Leeds system. Potential Gini replacement?

He was superb. He could dance past players, good passer and is brilliant at 'technical' fouls to break up the foundation of potential attacks. He had a great game and he's in the team because he did this all season for Leeds. Not sure if he'd be a direct Gini replacement but on that form wouldn't be out of place.

Good player and he will likely keep Henderson out of the England team based on recent performances. I think he'd be a great signing for us but we've probably missed the boat on getting him cheap. A decent Euros will probably add £10m onto his price tag

Yup. He has some years left on his contract. Leeds doesn't need the money.
