Transfer Rumours 21/22

His agent seems incompetent. If his agent wants to earn his client a new deal from Juve or Real with higher wages, he should link his client to clubs that are in the business of buying players.
Tbf, we are always used to flush out serious bidders.

One journalist stating Diaz is in no hurry to leave, knows he is on Liverpool's radar for summer transfer. The other stating that negotiations between Spurs and Porto are still ongoing but another big team may launch a bid soon.

Would we be better off signing a 28 year old who has played in this league then? How about Bamford?
I’m against buying most 28 year olds but we’ve been successful a few times. Milner is a good one.

Getting one who has never played here before usually isn’t a good idea. Many have tried, most have been a failure.

Problem is, his contract is up this summer. Hence why they're linking him to us.

Yeah, Dybala is a Firmino replacement if anything, and he wants more money than we pay Bobby, is only a year younger, injury prone, coming from Italy and has never played in the PL.

Non-starter.

Not quite sure he works as a Firmino replacement. I have seen this similar viewpoint being presented in multiple articles.

"Firstly, Dybala became a tactical dilemma. There was confusion over where best to deploy him.

As former Italy international Antonio Cassano once said on Bobo TV, "None of his Juve coaches have ever considered him essential, so I wonder if he is really a champion. He doesn't make the difference."

He has often looked utterly unsuited to a modern 4-3-3, and yet even when utilised as a classic No.10, he has admitted himself that he struggles "to get the ball in between the lines against defensive teams"."

He could very well be another Coutinho. Incredibly talented footballer but not suited to the modern game at the highest level as most top teams cannot afford to indulge him.

Word down at the ashram is that Diaz was a nailed on Red before the 2nd CL Porto game even. It was supposedly an ‘Edwards Project’ from waaay back in 2019. All was (and hopefully still is) cool for a summer 2022 move. Having said that - This Spurs thing has some legs. Id ask my buddy but he’s been absent from class since he attempted the ‘Uttanasana’ - Poor fella.
