ILD did I think.Didn't someone predict 3-2 with a Gerrard penalty?
He was wrong abut a red card though😎

I'd say I would have made a corpse feel better. That's ok mate. Seeing you made me feel that much better. I got the amount of goals right and I said Downing and Suarez would score.
Yeah I'll tell you. He was spiteful, snidey, sneaky cunt all game. The off the ball stuff from Spurs was seemed to be an organised and concerted effort to get at us and Dembele was at the centre of it. Every decision was contested by them.
That was a gnarly, nasty performance from a side who never used to be like that. Perhaps that's why they've done better this season.
Couple of other things. Scott Parker has a mini spat with fans in the lower centenary Kop end when a ball went out of play and he went to smack the ball at him. One fan gave him some stick and he went straight back at the fan. That's not like him at all. Also he was involved in many of the one the ground tussles after the ball had gone.
Coutinho was getting the rough stuff from Dembele and others and but still kept going.
Sturridge's work rate for the first 70 minutes was abject.
Suarez is world class
Bale went down and stayed down 11 times in the game and was constantly at the ref on everything.
The Spurs fans made little or no noise
A few fans seemed tempted to make monkey noises when Bale got the ball - but it seemed like they were aware it could be misconstrued.
I have no voice left.
Nice one Spion. On the telly you could pick up a little of the snidey stuff. Parker definitely tried to stamp on Suarez just before they got a bit tangled up. I will probably end up watching the game again so will keep an eye out. I know you are not particularly a Spurs hater but I bloody well am. I detest their arrogant nature and am chuffed to fuck we beat them.
Had no voice today. Sang my heart out. Had to take a sick day from work.
Oh and it was freezing...
Man up!! I've hardly got a voice, full of a cold, and I went to bed at 3am on Friday and 6am on Saturday!!! Saw you celebrating Downings goal 😉

Go on Jon - how was MOdo in person? Was he as nice as I am sure he is when he's not online?
It would, but I rarely go out during the winter here. Also, I just wore the wrong clothes. Thought it would be a bit warmer.Surely it would seem tropical compared to Sweden at this time of year?

Through a sight scope?Man up!! I've hardly got a voice, full of a cold, and I went to bed at 3am on Friday and 6am on Saturday!!! Saw you celebrating Downings goal 😉
Shouldn't be too hard to spot two black guys on the main stand at Anfield.Through a sight scope?
Oh they and their arrogant fans need to be taken down a peg. I've gained more respect for Arsenal fans this year, at least they gloated when they won or achieved something. If we can't catch Spurs then I'd like to see Arsenal do it. Just to rub the little cunts noses in it.
I've said it already, but their players were spiteful. It was like playing an Italian team. Cheap shot after cheap shot.
I don't get the hate for the Spurs fans. Saying that, I know one Spurs fan and he's a thoroughly decent chap and it's no surprise that those most vocal are Southern based. I guess it's the same with us and the blue shite.
Saw something wonderful on the train from London to Liverpool. A man and his young son were sitting in front of us in the train, both Spurs supporters.
While wrapping the blue and white scarf around his sons neck he says:
"Son, when the speaker says stand up for 96, I want you to stand up."
"Why?", the son says.
"Respect, son. Respect for the dead".
Hahaha, not really that big. We were sitting behind them.Respect, and the fact that there's two large black men in Liverpool jerseys staring at us right now...

They are the sort of people who tend to be perfectly reasonable most of the time but are a nightmare when Spurs are doing reasonably well.
I have a couple of Spurs supporting mates on Facebook. Yesterday during the game one of them, when they were leading, posted something like 'come on Scousers, at least give us a game'. He then went very quiet of course. He is the same person who, when they beat Arsenal, started bragging about how the win (one game) proved that there has now been a shift in power!
The other Spurs supporter actually tried to shrug off the defeat by saying it was 'Liverpool's cup final'. Er, excuse me? I wouldn't mind so much if Spurs were a team who had recently started winning more trophies than us but they're not. They won fuck all trophies before and they still don't now.
Oh the their ground is located in one of the most shitty parts of London, and the walk from Seven Sisters to the ground used to be one of the scariest walks / jogs / sprints in football.
Was in Edmonton County Court the other day for work. I didn't wear a suit to ensure I didn't attract attention from the defendants before being called!Oh Christ yeah. It's a dreadful, dreadful place, and one of those areas that will never ever get any better.
I lived in North London (Kentish Town & Islington) for 5 years so I was surrounded by the arrogant wankers. Spion's right about Seven Sisters Road as well. I used to volunteer in a school just off St Ann's Road. The morning walk from the station was interesting - Smack heads and pissed tramps everywhere. I've watched a few games in pubs in North London and have been witness to both Arsenal and Spurs fans many times. Spurs are Waaaaaay worse. They just have this smug arrogance about them these days. I guess it must come from being a mid table team for the last 50 years to suddenly finishing 4th..... Or 5th.......Btw, as one of the only London based ones here (I realise now that more people are), I assumed it would only be me who disliked Spurs, this thread has made me very happy in seeing that it's not just me.
