probably because kenny was squeezing his balls. metaphorically, literally or both.
[/quote]

He has one of each??? Wow

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Carroll in my opinion would be miles better than Bent and worth the extra money.

Not better than Torres obviously so hopefully he'll stay.

He'll stay.

30m for Carrol is madness.

Absolutely, who'd want to pay that for some woman I've never even seen kick a ball?

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

All this proves is that we are trying to bring in a replacement. If we havnt got one by 2pm I reckon Torres stays. Thats as it should be

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

If we pull of an Aguero or Llorente type singing today, I will believe in these owners enough to believe we'll have a league title here within the next three years.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

sturridge has gone on loan to Bolton.

Suggesting they'll defo being getting Torres?

I like Carroll. He's scored 11 goals in 19 games and he is 22 years old. Yes hes been a twat off the pitch, but he's a kid growing up in his home town (which is as goldfishbowly as towns can get) and making a success of himself. I would think a move away from Newcastle would be the making of him. And a proper manager like Dalglish.

Id LOVE to sign him more than any of the others we are linked with. Although if we are linked with Aguero i retract that.

This.

Glad we dodged that bullet.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

wow...just, wow.

Yup, I reckon Carroll would become a Liverpool legend and Anita's new pin-up.

Well, given today is the last day of the window and so time is limited and prices are inflated I'm very happy with the owners and their efforts to send this club forwards.

I'd quite like to see how we operate in the summer with an entire window and some of the torres money to boot.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

The Sturridge Bolton loan thingy has been talked about for weeks.

The Carroll bid is confirmed at 25 mill, and rejected.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

We'd certainly need a winger or two (or at least play Gerrard on the right) if signing Carroll.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

carroll kinda remind me of Shearer. If we do sign him, I hope he share the same fate like Shearer when Dalglish signed him.

Aguero is 40/45m + and Llorente not much less I'd have thought.

I like him too. The price may be steep but as things are every cunt is going for over their value.

Newcastle surely isn't the best place for him to be mentally at least. Wasn't he ordered to stay in Nolan's house for a while due to some conviction and they were caught doing drugs and whores? Great influence by the captain there!

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I believe £30mill would get us Llorente. Camolli is looking in the wrong place

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I'm scared we're gonna go in with another, higher, bid for Carroll out of desperation.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

he (caroll) took us to the fucking cleanings this season. I know that's not saying much (crouch) but it is what it is.

They're 4th in La Liga Neets. They won't sell til the summer.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Fuck it. Lets go Anglais and snap up carroll and Young!

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

We're probably biding for 3-4 strikers anyway if Torres is leaving, and a couple of midfielders.

Adam and Young and a striker if Torres leave.
