Bookies are saying that money is going on Torres staying

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Reports yesterday claimed Torres left Dalglish's office teary eyed after meeting The King.

probably because kenny was squeezing his balls. metaphorically, literally or both.

Now that is interesting....

As an aside in these bleak and tumultuous times, a former Liverpool player a little while ago attended an interview for a not insignificant east midlands side, and returned to his local proclaiming his appointment to be a done deal - cue the locals lumping onto the ever shrinking odds with gusto......only for said former player to be blown out of the runnning the very next day.

He has had to find a new local.

b'ezrat hashem g*d willing wizzy... We will rebuild with King Kenny

10.59am: ..... here's Kenny Dalglish on Torres to/not to Chelsea: "We've not brought anyone in as a replacement for anyone else," said Dalglish, as he passed my desk on the way to the coffee machine. "Movement is part and parcel of football but the most important people at Liverpool Football Club are the ones who want to be here."

Liverpool submit 30 million bid for Andy Carroll

'According to reports' yes. Too bad only 1% of those have any truth in them.

From BBC's man on the ground @Iandennisbbc Liverpool have made a 30 million pound bid for Andy Carroll #LFC #NUFC #fb

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Roman is one tight cnt, he can spend huge amounts on poncy art but when it comes to players he wants, he won't.
LFC should not back down, we can't. FSG must stand up, I really hate Chelsea more than Utd now, I hate Utd but can respect their achievements but everything Chelsea have achieved represents everything I hate about football. Not saying we are not clean but fck me to do this on the last day after having a whole month is a disgrace, if they wanted him that much they should have made bid on Jan1 let alone Summer. I think Chelsea and Torres have conspired together to get a good deal and force our hand.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Heh, it would be a bit of a surprise if we ended up keeping Torres and signing Carroll, Suarez, Young and Adam.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Thoughts this morning

* One of the first thoughts I had this morning was wishing Carra was fit so he could be on Torres on Sunday, give him a few kicks, only to learn that he is fit, really pleased.

* Was thinking about Torres' statements about how Athletico are his team in Spain so he'd never play for another Spanish team and Liverpool are his team in England so he'd never play for another English team. I guess when he decided that he needed to leave us, he needed to decide which club he was gonna go back on, it's not that surprising that he decided he'd go back on us and not Athletico.

* Carroll would be a huge huge mistake, he's a disaster waiting to happen, Gazza in the making. He's undisciplined, a drunk and an idiot. Trust me, it would be a disaster.
Llorente is the answer we're looking for

[/quote]Its been turned down. Its also from an unnamed club, they are just speculating its Liverpool.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

dan walker of football focus (bbc) spoke to someone at newcastle this morning and was apparently told there was no chance of him leaving.

To be fair, as much as I'd like to see it, I also can't see it happening, at least not until the summer.

100% confirmed that #LFC did make a £30m bid for Andy Carroll this morning. Incredible

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

He deffo gone if we are trying to spend 30 million on a replacement

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I reckon Kenny's ready to see the back of Torres (based his quotes about the importance of having players who want to be at LFC), but Henry's playing hardball for his full valuation (at least I hope he is). Management rarely gives in to player cuntishness in the states, especially when it makes no sense business-wise. I think if Henry makes the call unilaterally, Torres is here until the summer when we've more leverage.
