man oh man ... it's really gonna happen ... and next year, we'll finish ahead of Chelsea and keep him away from the CL ... ha ha inshallah.

what is Jewish for inshallah?

meanwhile Guardian live feed:

10.28am: So. What do we know so far?
We know that Paul Konchesky has gone to Froest. That, to date, is pretty much what this is all about.
We know that Fernando Torres has not gone to Chelsea, but that he might do before that day is out. Nobody is actually ruling it out.
And we know Daniel Sturridge is currently coughing for the doctor at Bolton.

Garcia being a bellend:

The former Liverpool midfielder Luis García believes their failure to win trophies is one of the main reasons behind Fernando Torres wanting to leave the Merseyside club for Chelsea.

The Premier League champions are set to table an improved bid for the Spain striker ahead of tonight's 11pm transfer deadline, after Liverpool rejected an initial offer and a transfer request from the player himself.

Garcia played for Liverpool from 2004 to 2007, leaving just a day before Torres joined the Reds from Atlético Madrid, but is friendly with his compatriot and feels a lack of success has left him restless.

"Torres left Atlético looking for trophies and titles and he has not achieved any of them and maybe it is time to think about it [a move]," he told BBC Five Live. "Liverpool are in a position where they are struggling in the league and maybe with all the changes they have done it is a good moment [to leave].

"I think Torres is a fantastic player and Chelsea are struggling a bit in the league and maybe that's what they need now. Someone different, someone who can give them more impetus. One player cannot change a team but it will help a lot."

Despite Torres's desire to secure a move away from Anfield, García believes the forward will find it tough to leave Liverpool. "It's always a difficult move. I know he loved his move to Liverpool and I am a bit surprised that he wants to move to Chelsea," he continued.

"I think it would be very hard for him. He loved Atlético but left to join Liverpool and that was difficult, but he did it because he was convinced he would achieve everything he wanted. I think it will be difficult for him and the Liverpool fans."

I have read this through a couple of time James, but I can see no evidence of Luis being a bellend anywhere

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Im worried that Suarez still hasnt signed.
I hope weve given chelsea a noon deadline to give us 11 hours to get our business done.
Sign Suarez.
Have deals for Young, Adam, Warnock and one of yer Gomez, Carroll, Aguero, Llorentes all but inked and then bang em in if Stinker goes to chelsea.

Exactly. £50 Million with add on's hopefully.
Now to find three new players.

Kenny has been a fucking legend in his press conference - a LEGEND.

Suarez is fine, small clerical hiccup to overcome, but its a done deal.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

LTW - should we not worry about an extra 20% to reach our asking price?

Perhaps you're right, there a nice bunch of lads and we're only talking about a fifth of what we asked for.

it's a bullshit rumour

SSN says so anyhow

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Anything else youre "wondering" about now DWM? Perhaps the forum can help?

Re the 42m:

Any figure being bandied around after the club has said it is doing its business in private has GOT to be fabricated.

Its not in Liverpool's or Chelsea's interests to release the details until after the deadline has come and gone

I dunno mate - I just don't want him here, he can fuck off ... BUT ...

Reports yesterday claimed Torres left Dalglish's office teary eyed after meeting The King.

Oh to be a fly on the wall ...
