Weve told them £50m or no deal because we want to know where we stand regards a replacement. Also he can only go 'if' we can get someone in on time.

Best call we ever made?

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

WTF Luis!!!

Luis Garcia, who left Liverpool around the same time Torres joined the Anfield outlet, revealed the Spanish striker wants to win domestic honours – something he’s failed to do on Merseyside.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “Torres left Atletico looking for trophies and titles and he has not achieved any of them and maybe it is time to think about it.

“Liverpool are in a position where they are struggling in the league and maybe with all the changes they have done it is a good moment to leave.â€

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

"We will probably not win the league this season".....

HA !

It makes sence. We have been on a negative shit downward spiral since he arrived. He joined the European champions to win titles, and was served Lucases and stuff. But the timing is awful!!!!

I hope that's true.

Torres would have known exactly the implications of his written transfer request and must be very confident that the deal will be done.

At least I hope so for his sake, as he's going to look very silly if Chelsea don't stump up as it effectively mean Chelsea saying we want you but not that much.

That would probably rule out a future bid from one of the few clubs that could afford him until his final year with us.

He must be one very anxious individual at this time.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I'd rather have him as a pariah here tbh. He can just deal and party to his ability. He's going in the summer regardless

We weren't European Champions when he joined.

Well, runners up. We were after all the highest ranked English team in Europe, people were still stunned by the 05 Final and we were reckoned a real force!

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Torres just arrived at Melwood for training, apparently.

It's going to be a long day. For all of us.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Yes it is. I'm ambivolent to Torres at the moment. I'm looking forward to seeing our new record signing play.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Can a financial expert please outline the potential tax implications of us having £50M and not spending the mutha fucka before the end of the tax year ?

Thank you.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Have we given Chelsea a deadline? Like I don't know 2 PM, so we have enough time to find a replacement.

So 31 days out in the transfer window we give Chelsea a 7 hour deadline so we can find a replacement?? If there was anything Comolli should have, then it was a list of replacements for every player we have,so that if anything happenend to them we knew who was next on the list.

No, I mean so we there's time to contact other clubs, negotiate a fee and get the player here to sign and do a medical.
I'm fairly sure that we already have a list of targets.

Unveiling of Suarez or Stoke pre-match interview.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Unless we get £50M and have a replacement (preferably one who can play in the europa cup ) in place, we should not sell today

Dalglish didn't look happy yesterday.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

09.35 A report on Sportingo claims that Fernando Torres may yet stay at Liverpool and he is 'desperately trying to backtrack on his transfer request. Torres is said to be furious with his agent for putting in the transfer request AFTER Liverpool had done the deal to sign Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez from Ajax.'

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Yea, there will be a lot of shit from Torres along those lines, because he doesn't want to look bad. Meanwhile his agent will make shedloads of money, Torres will make shedloads of money, and he'll be celebrating goals with that gang of cunts.

Bullshit, why was he training alone? Why has it taken so much time?
He just needed to call Dalglish or the whoever and tell them that it wasn't true, and that he's staying.
