Torres gone. Scum gone to more scum

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Only way Torres leaving for Chelsea would be somewhat gullible for me:

£20M + Essien

Spunk the new-found money on Young. (Or Hazard).

The Times also say it's believed the £50m buy-out clause kicks in at the end of the season. If so #LFC could refuse all bids this window.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Good.

I'm not sold on Young BTW. A real talent, but one who lacks consistency.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I have a hunch that we will make a late bid for Young irrespective of what happens with Torres.

Anyone heard anything on that?

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

The prospect of getting Anelka in exchange has made me feel a lot better about this. It would partly solve the time problem here and we might end up with a more balanced squad as a result.

Silver lining and all that shit.

Hahaha, yeah, & throw in drogba whilst you're at it.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

what the fuck are people going on about with anelka. he's fucking 32 and a tenth of the player torres is. we need three 20 mill players from selling torres if we're going to have a chance of gaining from it.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Let's just revitalize the ancient attacking line of our direct competitors, and be happy that we can use their cast offs for a season. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Anelka is finished. I don't want any old, short term solutions that inflate our wage bill while offering nothing, and are impossible to sell.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I've had enough of all these badge kissing lifelong Liverpool supporting players. Time we went down the Sociedad route and only play Scousers or adopted OOTers who pledge allegiance by placing one hand on the Merseymart whilst singing Heart As Big As The City.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I've had enough of this drama. I'm going out now.

Don't let him leave whilst I'm gone!

Haha yeah I know it's incredibly far-fetched but as with you I'd be seriously gutted to see Torres leave so I'd hope for loads in return.

I agree with this to an extent. It's why I back he likes of Spearing, he might be limited as a player, but he has more heart and desire than most of our squad put together.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Fuck Sturridge and Anelka, the pair of them are shit. Sturridge is on 60k a week at the Chavs and is shit so he can go fucking swivel. Anelka is nearly 32 and has been wank this season.

The Chavs can pay the 50mill if they want him.

In terms of a replacement I say get Aguerro or Lakaku.

Ashly Young for the left wing would be nice too.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I wonder if he could be persuaded to stay til the summer, its only like 15 games away and theres no summer tournament.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Nial K, we do hold all the aces. Torres has a significant period left on his contract. The club will hold him to it and he confirmed earlier in the month that he'd honour it.

Torres is being pilloried based on articles or rumours without substance. Pure conjecture and media sensationalism.

We all need to calm the fuck down. While we accept that he mayt leave in the summer, you can be sure that it will be on our terms. Kenny won't fuck about with Torres. Reserve team football is a real prospect if he stays and sulks.

I hope you are right. I advocated such a stance, if needs be, earlier in the thread.

If he can't be persuaded, he can (and should) be told.

I'd be with you as well if Sturridge really was included in the deal.

£50m split between lukaku and eden hazard would be fine and dandy, problem is whether we can attract young players like that after selling our biggest star.

i mean, i can see plenty of logic in cashing in on torres. it's just not knowing who the replacements are and how they'll do that's a bit nerve-racking.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Anelka isn't my deam signing either but if Torres goes we have only a couple of days to buy a replacement. It would be much better to have Anelka than be left with nothing. We would also be getting a huge pile of cash, Anelka should only be valued at max £5m for this.
