Jonny Evans, Hughes and Carroll were simply majestic. Hughes barely gave one of the best players in the world a sniff.
Looking around that NI side last night they either had the finest coaching possible during their formative years - Cathcart, Jonny Evans, Corry Evans, Norwood (All Man Utd), McGivern (Man City), Baird (Southampton), Davis (Villa), or throughout their career thus far they have gained big match experience from testing themselves in European competition - Carroll (Man Utd & Olympiakos), Jonny Evans (Man Utd), Hughes (Newcastle & Fulham), Baird (Fulham), McGinn (Celtic), Davis, Lafferty (both Rangers). Promote McLaughlin to the senior setup (scored for the U19's on Monday btw) and keep the likes of Grant McCann, Hodson, McQuoid, Paterson, Camp, Gorman, Feeney, etc, in the international wilderness for good and NI will provide a few shocks along the way.
