DM for one of the best teams in Europe but not one of the best DMs in Europe. Not by a long shot. I think he was an overrated imposter - didn't Gerrard call him something to that effect in his book as well?

I've generally despised all Italian players - Gattuso, Inzaghi, Cannavaro - the lot of them. Can't think of a single Italian player I like bar Zola maybe.

"I've just never seen a player do what he does"

Yes Andy Gray you fucking gormless cunt, he's the only player ever to run quickly down the wing with a football.
So on top of this ^^^^... That fucking teeth-crunchingly irritating touchline reporter fucker Geoff Shreeves in the post-match interviews asked Van Der Vaart (who was standing beside Bale at the time) this:

"Have you ever played with anyone as good as this Rafael??!"

"No Geoff, I haven't. I've only played alongside chaps like Wesley Sneijder, Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Kaka, Arjen Robben, etc etc - Ballon D'Or winners some of them - so of course I haven't played with anyone anywhere near as good as Gareth Bale" wasn't VDV's reponse, but it should have been.

I fucking hate Sky, and that gurning simpleton Shreeves.

Mostly agree, except that Masher would have Gattuso for breakfast.
I dunno ... In his prime, Gattuso was the DM of one of the best teams in Europe. Mascher was phenomenal for us, but now can't even get a game ahead of Sergi Busquets. They're at the same 'level', but you're giving the benefit of the doubt to a player who's 'our own', so I get it! 🙂
Different style, different teams. Barcelona keeps the ball and dont give it away. No need for a anclesnapping Mascher there. Pool playing without the ball and Mascher earns the Monsterano nickname. Gattuso? Uninspering bleach lookalike.

"life-threatening"

Few posters reputations have fallen away as long and slow as KHL's has over the last 6 months.
That's a bit rich coming from someone who hasn't even been around for the last 6 months isn't it?

Even if you don't agree with me that a collision with knee to chin can be life-threatening why would it harm my reputation on here? It's not exactly a medic-fora is it?

Anyways you be a twat about it as much as you like Ryan.

It was pretty reckless, though nothing in the region of Battiston.

Less intent, but equally as dangerous

I think people are being a quite harsh on KHL here.

It was a pretty horrific tackle to be fair but in my opinion there didn't seem to be the intent on Valdes's part to warrant the punitive punishment that K. advocated.

We all know where KHL is from and that he is not always subjective when it comes to things Danish but in truth is he any worse than the majority on here when confronted with an affront to his loyalties.

Very few of us here are truely objective when it comes to Liverpool football club although we probably all think/try to be. There was a huge uproar this time last year by many of us Irish over Thierry Henry's handball, much of it out of proportion probably, and twenty four years on there are still many English who become apoplectic when the "hand of God" goal is mentioned.

A little bit of patriotism/loyalty isn't necessarily a bad thing and I don't think KHL should be crucified for it, especially if he realises that he often looks at things, understandably so, through Danish tinted glasses.

He is a great poster and while he should know better than to rise to it, he doesn't deserve to be baited either.

Whispers to KHL- stop biting on the hook and they will just stop fishing after a while

I agree. Although his Danish bias can be annoying at times, I've taken it a part and parcel of who he is as a poster. It generally means you take his opinion on anything Denmark related with a pinch of salt (okay, a sack of salt maybe 😛)

But too many people are willing to stick the knife in him unnecessarily.

Exactly. It's bullshit. The tackle was nasty and if Torres had been the recipient we would be up in arms over it. Perhaps KHL was OTT in his attack at Valdes but if a red card had been show or a ban given no one would blink an eye.

I like the Patriotism KHL shows. He obviously wants Agger and co to suceed at Liverpool and I think it is pathetic when various posters practically hound him when Agger or Poulsen has a bad game for us.

I do think KHL should tone it down a bit. Win Win situation really because KHL can be an excellent poster at times when he removes his 'bias'.

The situation with Valdez is a clear red card, and he should be banned for a period of time. It has nothing to do with footie. Less intent than Schumacher maybe, but the consequnces by tackling to head ican be a very long injury period for the other guy. It can even be career threathening. It is a shame how the ref (with the help of 2 other linesmen nearby) avoid sending him straight off.

I have seen quite a few of those over the years, a couple here in Norway who has ended careers. Among other this one:
Heinz Müllers kne mot Geir Ludvig Fevang

Cheers mate much appreciated.

To be quite frank though this particular incident had nothing to do with my allegiance for FC København whom I follow closely but merely as a general fan of footy more than anything else.

I was simply left disgusted by Valdes' lack of respect really and then having to read posters silly agenda-ridden responses afterwards annoyed me a bit. I know I should've stayed well clear as you said so I kind of asked for it meself.

I am biased however. This is a football-fora though and I'd suspect we all are somehow.

*Just read ILDs and Dmishras replys too, which obviously are equally appreciated. I'll try to tone it down a bit then as I'm certainly not going to harm me Internet-rep on here any further.

LTW, isn't sure whether he's Italian, South African or a Israeli 🙂

And Roopy loves anything Italian.

KHL's Danish bias can be very irritating, so I can completely understand when people have a go at him about Poulsen or whatever, and for him to claim his hilariously OTT reaction to that fucking tackle has nothing to do with who the victim was, or where he plays, or his nationality is fucking laughable.

In fact, I've started watching the clip for my own enjoyment.

Apart from a few of the most hardcore Internet-warriors on 6CM there seems to be consensus around the globe that this Valdes UFC-tackle was very resemblant to the one made by Schumacher back in his days.

Not taking the bait. Just saying that's all.

The drama on here resembles that of a bad episode of Glamour.

The question remains, am I one of the good guys or am I the evil Carrington JR something something?

*Disclaimer: I've never watched Glamour only heard about it on the street....

Having never used the ignore button is not the same as never ignoring anyone is it?

I've ignored and do ignore a few. But only used "the button" once.

It's far more effective that way. It's always there ready to be pushed if someone crosses the line one to many times. (Or puts me on ignore, that'll do).

Wargames.
