Tickets for Swansea match

The site can be tricky but you have to realise that was the late availability sale for a game on this Sunday. The members sale (November) and General sale have already taken place so game was basically sold out months ago. Wednesday was a sale for returns and the likes. It can be a lottery but I think me and @the count have it sussed.

We go the official site and click on update family and friends as a decoy entry to sales page. I waited a min in the queue as I tried this ten minutes before the sales. Once in, I clicked on home game. There was no games available to purchase but I kept refreshing. Then on the stroke of 11am the Swansea game appeared. I immediately went for two in Annie Lower and chances of a pair are higher there. Got them, straight to checkout and job done.

It is getting harder and harder to get tickets.

I haven't renewed my membership since I was away but since im back in Ireland now I will purchasing it for next season. Im planning on building my credits up so i'll have better access for subsequent seasons. First round of sales for next season is in July and I plan to get a ticket for all home games before Xmas. I'll go to a selection and farm out the rest of the games.

I recommend people to buy their own membership card and link them up with family and friends. Stewards are clamping down on card sharing big time.

I've tried previously, both on a members sale and a general sale, and failed. Its incredibly annoying - gets sold out while you're on the queue for 2 mins. This was on a friends card though, and I'm not very familiar with the site.

If I stay in the UK beyond this year, I might buy a card as well.

I was looking for 4 tickets for this actually, and haven't even managed to scrape one yet. I guess this is pretty late in the day for this. But if by some miracle, you can get your hands on some, you're a legend. If not, can I ask you to look for spares for the Sunderland game?

Hats off to @the count and @ILD for getting the tickets. You'll have a made young boys dream come true.

@ILD and @the count are boss! ILD got me tickets for the Cardiff game in December - and I believe it was on the count's membership card that they were purchased.

You can't mess about, as in shop around. Get into the queue early and be ahead of the game. I go in and get what I can. Back in the day you could fiddle with the basket and view seating chart and pick your seat in the Kop but now it's loco

Another tactic is to stay in the queue and tickets do pop up even after it says sold out. A few lads got sorted this morning in fact.

Has the Sunderland game got a date yet? It was moved to the Monday but they are in the FA Cup QFs that weekend.

As ILD has said it has become really difficult to get tickets these days.
After failing to get two seats together in two quiet areas of the main stands I tried getting single seats anywhere else that was listed as available because I knew there would be someone wanting them. I didn't mange to get a single ticket.
It is only two seasons ago that I got four seats together in the Kop for the Arsenal game.
It's madness now.
That said I will be fairly confident of getting in and getting tickets during the main sale in July and November though that requires a lot of preplanning

Yep. I got City tickets in November and got 4 together in Annie Lower. The early sale are the one's to hit obviously.

If you can afford to slap tickets on your credit card come July and Nov it is worth it and you will always farm them out. Paul i'll contact you in the summer for next year's sale. Me and Aidan will have cards and we'll link them up so you can use ours and vise versa.

It's only getting worse. This is the first game in memory that no-one has got hold of me on the day or day before with spares. If we qualify for the cl we're gonna need a bigger ground.

Often the matches like yesterday are the best ones to be at and hopefully it was a memorable first visit for the wee lad.

I was in the Lower Centenary (directly below the score board) and there were 3 empty seats in front of me. Very sad to see.

Just arrived home about an hour ago Paul. Had a great trip. Heartstopping match though, but great to get the three points. Stephen had a great time. Did the tour today and he got to sit in Brendan's PC seat, and lead the group out onto the pitch. I think he's still in awe of the whole thing and it will only sink in as the days go by.
