The Excelsior on Dale Street is excellent. Looks like a rundown Victorian boozer from the outside, but is really nice inside, with great screens, good beer options and lovely peeps behind the bar

We went there last night on your recommendation.
Food was decent and beer was excellent.
Nice big screen to watch the footy thought being a bit of a student pub I am not sure what the match day atmosphere would be like.
@Jack D Rips be prepared to be the oldest in the pub, unless you bring someone older with you.🙂

Someone told me that on the day/night of the match there is the possibility that the ticket office could be selling on tickets, for people who, for one reason or another, are unable to attend the match. Any truth in this?
