I have no idea if this is a stupid question but what are the chances of getting two tickets for dortmund next week? it's for a special occasion so need to try.

I'm going to be in Liverpool for the Hillsborough Memorial next Friday. I've given up on getting a ticket for the match. Where is a good place to watch it on TV?

Amazingly there are tickets still available for Man City v PSG, why the fuck are they trying to add 20,000 extra seats when they can't fill their ground for a Champions League quarter final?

Bier will have it on. It also has quality beer and the music is usually decent. It's small though.

Well, the stadium sponsorship deal will probably be much bigger with an extra 20000 seats.

I always struggle for decent places to watch the match in town. It's shit really. I'll give the flute a go next time I'm round there.

Weird how a city so obsessed by footy has such awful city centre options for watching it. I end up in the Victoria Cross, just coz it's round where people I know are and it isn't bad... but a proper fuck off sports bar would do a bomb in town.

it's the best of a very bad bunch for me.
Yep. Town is bereft of a good sports bar. There's a couple of new ones opened but they're too small, too overpriced & concentrate on food/premium booths etc way too much.

It's like they're trying to be something for everyone, when really they just need to have a plethora of screens, one or two giant fuck off great screens, & a big long bar or two with a load of staff. They could actually charge more than most places & they'd still be full for almost every match.

I seem to remember a sports bar on or by mathew Street years & years ago with one of those boss central bars that had a load of screens in, I watched us lose the CL place to Everton in there many moons ago, that was pretty decent.

yeah it was owned by the owners of the cavern that place.

That's the last decent place I can remember bar the Flute to watch the match in. Which is ridiculous considering the city's obsession with football.

That McCooleys Bar is decent for footie. It's relatively new. Only downside is it's in Concert Square.

Do agree though, for such a Football mad City, Liverpool could do with a few more Sports bars and shit. That Bierkeller is another option but can attract a weird crowd (maybe it's just me)

Is it worth going out to Camp & Furnace? That's massive with a huge screen but I've never been there for the footy.

Fuck Concert Square. Never been the Bierkeller as it looks horrendous. I try and avoid oompah music and overpriced beer as much as I can here as it is.

The camp & furnace is apparently boss for the match. The thing that puts me off is long waits at the bar & having to queue early doors for big matches cos it's so popular.
Its the right kind of idea though, cos the space coupled with the huge screen generates a great atmosphere by all accounts (not been there for any big matches myself).

Nice place but they could really do with a few more toilets

I want pissed scallies screaming obscenities and jumping off the walls when I watch the match. I don't associate the camp and furnace with that kind of vibe so I've never done the footy there. same reason I don't ever watch the match at sound food drink.

Yeah, I like Sound but I saw half a match there once and it was a bit odd. There was a band playing under the screen and everyone was more interested in strangely shaped pizza.
