Re:Sterling I think the City fans will expect a bit more for 49m. The rest of the team seem to be bypassing him, he might have to be content as a small fish in a big pond.

Chelski looked lethargic. I thought they were lucky to concede just the 3.

I had a mixed day of bets:

Ars vs Palace: Both teams to score
Ars vs Palace: Wickham anytime scorer (what a prick for hitting the post)
City vs Chelsea: Aguero FGS
I had £5 on 1-0 to City but won with Aguero anytime scorer. About £15 up on the day 🙂

He showed glimpses of talent I thought. Although cerainly not £49million worth. 😀

On the evidence of the first two weekends it looks like Mourinho is behaving at least as iratically as ever. He could be gone by Christmas.

Mourinho said their pre season wasnt ideal and it certainly shows. Not up to it at all.

City look quite impressive. Sterling was meh. Yaya runs like he's shit himself.

They gave him a standing ovation.

City are wonderful to watch in full flow.

Mangala and Fernandinho had great games but that quartet of Kompany, Yaya, Silva and Aguero when they're fit and at the races sets City apart from anything in this League in my view. Some spine.

Keep them 4 fit for most of the season and they'll be Champions.

I thought Sterling started brightly without contributing directly to the attacks. He was running into space, receiving and moving the ball in good areas that kept pressure on Ivanovic. That was the first 20 minutes or so though. Didn't really do much after that, other than skinning Ivanovic twice in the second half. Oh and skying a shot after a nice pull back by Aguero.

I thought Navas did better on the other side, which is pretty insulting I suppose. 😀

Ditto on Navas. And you missed the fact that Sterling continually gave away possession. I saw one report in a newspaper by Lewis someone or other that rated Sterling and Silva as 7s and Aguero as an 8 .......... that guy is clearly insane.
