Mods often get a hard time on here and it's hard to keep everyone happy. Mods are installed to moderate and work behind the scenes to allow the forum to run smoothly yeah? Jon Fox does this. That's why he's our best mod in my opinion. He is fair and gets on with it. He has no agenda towards players or individual forum members so no real bias drifts into his posting. I'm not saying mods need be less vocal or opinionated but mods in general need to remember you took the position for the betterment of the forum. We as the posters also have a duty of care to make sure we aren't unnecessarily making it difficult for mods to perform their jobs. It works both ways.
Oncy stood down as a mod as he wanted to be more opinionated and didn't want the responsibility of being a mod holding him back. I think some of the current mods need to find a level that works for everyone too. Just my opinion but perhaps;
- Ross needs to drop the Big Boss Man persona and stop e-bullying certain posters.
- Jono needs to drop the Rodgers hate to a tolerable level.
- Mark needs to stop defending the club at every opportunity and let a few fly over his head.
- Fabio needs to keep doing what he's doing. He's a goodun.

I can actually live without the women's world cup being shoved down my throat, with the normal idiots on social media in America saying I must be a sexist if I don't want to watch a shit game. Its certainly the case that sexism produced the gulf in class between women and men, and its certainly improving, but if I'd rather watch Messi over Marta, who they are comparing to Pele, despite barely watching a game of football, I'm a fucking sexist now? There's ads for womens field hockey on TV in this sexist country, and you'd be stupid to watch the world cup over that. BTW, its not advertised as "womens field hockey" and they give men and women equal attention, it's not segregated advertising. The depth of competition is higher from the smaller number of countries that compete, because it hasn't been crowbarred into a formula that makes sense for a more developed mens game. I wonder how many americans will be tuning in. If they don't, are they sexist? Are they empowering and sexist? It's all so fascinating.
As far as the actual intention of the thread, no one's annoying me much because I'm not on here that much, but even when I was, I use my brain to filter out inconsequential bullshit being beamed into my eyes from a computer screen, otherwise I'd kill myself about 30 mins into any given workday.
