Two things:

Joe Hart is a hell of a keeper.

Stewart Downing is a bent foot bastard.
This.

See that's what happens when you replace Maxi with Downing.
Should've been the same team. This is what annoys me with Kenny.
Downing gets the spot ahead of Maxi without merit.

Anyway Lucas MOM.

I'm very disappointed with the result. We should have won it.

good header by Carroll well saved by Hart

Good?

Understatement of the year right there..
Why ? What do you think it was ?
Amazing. At the very least. Don't you?
It would have been amazing if it had gone in.

It was quite impressive from the big lump though

Awesome game! I think we probably deserved all the points in the end, but we can't be too disappointed given Hart made two saves to keep it level, they defended extremely well at times and they are the unbeaten leaders of the league. This and the Chelsea result are something to really build on.

BTW, Downing had a pretty good game bar a tired last 10 minutes. Do some of you lads want him to fail or something?

Modo if it wasn't for some absolutely stunning keeping from Joe Hart we'd won this game.

Sometimes you just don't get lucky. Today we were great but slightly unlucky not to win. Down to some outstanding goalkeeping.

My bad. I meant the save.

We are getting so fucking good it's ace we just need to kill teams off and take our chances great game.

We *need* something a little more, we need to be more clinical in front of goal...Today I will put it down to Hart being brilliant but other games we need to put the ball away.
Kuyt is kinda running out of legs for me at the moment and needs to be replaced sooner rather than later.

Its happening too often though. For all the chances we create we really don't score enough goals

We just drew with the league leaders, that hasn't lost a single domestic game, that was built with magnitudes more money and resources. Jeez, we would've bitten anyones hand if a draw was offered at the beginning.

Some perspective, yes?

Very true. Shite towards the end but was very effective on our left hand side with Enrique for long periods of the game.

Also really really impressed with our fitness, that was an intense game and we kept up with them.
Agger and Skrtel are playing well as are Lucas and Adam.

henderson was good in the centre, it looked like he was too concious about playing on the right and made lots of silly mistakes. downing just isnt good enough, and carroll, well, im not really sure, he was atrocious when he first came on but he could have won us the game with that great header.

having gotten all the bad points out of the way i think we played very well, lucas and adam, who looked dodgy together at first, are really playing well, both had an outstanding game today. defence was great, skrtel and agger held firm and aguero didnt have a chance, look how much they frustrated mario, few silly backpasses though. kuyt did well holding th ball up, difficult time for suarez today as most of the time he had 4 defenders on him, but he still showed glimpses of his quality, erm, i think ive covered everything.

good result, would have liked a win but before the game i would have bitten a hand off for a draw tbh

Exactly what I'm thinking. We did the same against Norwich and Man U. We just have to capitalize on our chances.

With the way we've played the last couple of games, I'm starting to feel positive about where we're going for the first time in a while.
Lucas (I've often been his biggest critic) has turned into an amazingly good player in that position. Suarez caused havoc.

I still think Henderson's so bloody ordinary.

Yeah, I thought Downing was pretty good until the last 10 to 15 minutes. Not sure if it was fatigue though he did a lot of running up the sideline - he also seemed to drop his head when he missed that volley.

Carroll's header was outstanding but Hart's save on that, Suarez twice were world class. Almost thought we were going to nick it at the end but still lack that killer blow/attitude.

Silva had me shaking but practically the whole Liverpool team was on the goal line by the time he decided to shoot. He's much quicker than I realized - their best I thought.

Lucas, Suarez, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique (last 25 minutes) and Kuyt for his work were fantastic. Adam drifted in and out - liking how he's taking on the defense a bit more now but some of his passes in the last 20 minutes killed our momentum.

There has been a row in the City dressing room. Someone has damaged the dressing room door (Mario was involved)

I wouldn't have taken a draw at the start. Once again we've failed to win a game in which were by far the better side

There's nothing wrong with being disappointed about not winning at Anfield.

We've dropped a lot of points at home which we shouldnt have dropped, Man Utd, Swansea and Norwich at home were three games we drew that we should have won. Too many draws especially at home is a problem. But city are without doubt the best team in the league right now, let's not forget how they battered Utd on their own patch a few weeks back. There are draws that are problematic; Norwich and Swansea at home, but City, I think we have to accept isn't a bad result

Who are you kidding??

I wouldn't have taken a draw at the start either but your woefully inadequate description of a great effort by Carroll was awesome in its bias.

Then to say we were "by far the better side" - did you actually watch the game. They gave as good as they got and looked the most likely for the first 25 minutes of the second half.

Ballotelli going bananas in the dressing room apparently.
Broken the door.

Ha. I wish someone would just follow him around with a camera all the time

Another home game where 'their' keeper is their best player. We're making great strides and i honestly believe the second half of our season will be better than the first. Good times ahead.

Absolutely. It wasn't just a draw, it was a sign saying we can compete with the likes of City. Get some finishing practice in, add in that Liverpool also tends to play better in the 2nd half of the season and the future is a lot more rosy.
