From 101gg:

As if the demolition of Arsenal at the Emirates was not enough. Reliable Italian newspaper La Stampa claims this morning that Bayern Munich have readied a 46 million euro bid for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

La Stampa suggest Juventus have already put together a shortlist ahead of next summer with Antonio Conte keen on securing Luis Suarez.

But, Munich are believed to have already started the bidding for the Liverpool forward who has been in scintillating form in 2012/2013.

According to Italian reports, Juventus will battle it out with Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munich to secure Suarez in the summer and both will almost certainly be able to offer Champions League football to the Uruguayan striker.

While all of us would rather keep our star player - I think it would be interesting to see what people would be willing to sell for?

If Bayern or Juve (or Real or PSG or Barca - we should not sell to any club in England) offer us 60+ million GBP, I'd strongly consider selling if he wanted out + as long as Rodgers could re-invest that in players to improve our team.

Yep, 60m+ and we'd have to consider it. Assuming it was done early in the window and all funds could be reinvested.

We should keep hold of him, IMO.

Sell him at 27 if he wants to leave. The team should be built around this Sturridge, Suarez axis.

Let be realistic, £40million is where we start listening, should hold out for the same deal with got for Fernando.

I don't think you're right ... We knew we were getting rid of a 'injured' product ... Here, we have a player who is hitting his prime and has no health concerns.

I think Saurez's value will be at it's highest this summer. That doesn't mean I want to sell him, but if a silly offer of 60m+ comes in I'd consider it. Anything like 40m and I'd happily keep him.

I know one thing it's a no brainer that if he does go to Bayern he will score a shed load - £40million would get my interest £50mill would get my attention.

I would only sell him if I had assurances we would re-invest the lot.
And that I could pick who we signed.
Neither is all that likely so i would not be in favour.

This summer clubs will make the most amount of money in their history from TV deals.
In addition Carroll, Carragher, Pacheco and probably Reina will be leaving and should bring in some bunce and save some money on wages. So I see no point in selling our best player. We dont need to rebuild anymore, we need to strengthen.
Selling Suarez takes us back 2 years.

Take the TV money and sign one or two WORLD CLASS players and stop fucking about rotating our squad out the door.
Reina/Or new like for like cost replacement
Johnson
Kelly
Enrique
Wisdom
Agger
Skrtel
WORLD CLASS CB
Coates
Lucas
Henderson
Allen
WORLD CLASS DM
Coutinho
Gerrard
Downing
Sterling
Suso
Sturridge
Suarez
Borini

Stop fucking about.

There should probably be a separate thread for this question but seeing as though Torres went for £50mill it's fairly relevant - Suarez or Torres who is better? If Torres went for £50mill surely Suarez is worth that. I honestly think he is the better player.

All true but with no CL it's going to be hard to keep Suarez let alone attract truly world class players.

Sell him for a bag of Wine Gums cos he's shit, greedy, fluffs his chances, cost Kenny his job and is the least prolific striker in the league.

Wouldn't sell him end of story. Selling him sends out a message that we have no ambition. Plus there's no guarantees that the money would be used well. Lets look at rodgers current record, only sturridge has come good (still too early for coutinho). Plus who are we gonna get that will offer more to the team than suarez? No one.

I very much doubt he'd want to leave this summer anyway - He still has 4 years on his contract as well.

The bolded bit sums this scenario up. He is contracted till 2016 or something. Keep him for at least another full season. By then we should at least be back as realistic CL place contenders. Im not so sure he wants to leave yet anyway

If we sold Suarez, and even if we got 100m+ for him, we'd piss it all away on another Andy Carroll. How long has it taken us to find a good striker? Too fucking long. At the moment, for me, Suarez is priceless.

At 40m I'd give them short shrift and tell them not to come back unless they had a much better offer .... like 40m for Downing.

I hope we don't sell him unless we get to Torres levels, then I'd be gutted but understand. I still think we're gonna sell Suarez and replace him with Eriksen (in the no 10 role)

Let be realistic, £40million is where we start listening, should hold out for the same deal with got for Fernando.

I think he is one of the top five players in the world and great to watch, he is a silly money player regardless of his importance to us right now. IF a CL comes in for him we should definitely make the wad waving cunts pay through the nose and seeing as he has just signed a new contract we should have every chance of getting top dollar.

Personally I think we should play out of skins for the next 3 months line up some good players in summer and see if he feels we can finally get in next season, selling him would upset me greatly and also be the 4th world class player in a row we have sold.

I'd not entertain anything sub 50 million and even then, we should not be looking to sell. I'd also be doing some proper scouting of potential replacements as of now. We need to be ready for this.
