But we’re good at Anfield. I’d rather have all our home games at home.

It's the luck of the draw. make it the first game of the season after the pre season games.. all warmed up, and ready to go!
 
What bollocks. Home means home, Anfield, it doesn't mean on neutral territory anywhere. And playing any PL match at a neutral ground would in effect then give an advantage to the teams that play all of their games at home.

Yup. Not sure how the fairness aspect will be maintained if league games are player abroad.

If they are desperate for better international TV rights, maybe they can play the later stages of the FA Cup or Carling cup in the US?
 
Tricky one, but I could see the appeal for smaller clubs if there was a compelling TV & Stadium revenue offer on the table. E.g. if someone like Bournemouth got to count a game in a large East Coast stadium as a home game.

I can't imagine any big clubs being able to force it through, but conceivably if the 'home' team was the one selling the tickets then it might not be the worst thing in the world having 80,000 lfc fans behind you.

I'd much rather it was in a cup tournament than the league.. but I guess logistically they need to know who is doing it quite far in advance.

But then city get to play Liverpool at their stadium. Whatever it's called these days.

Luck of the draw is for cup matches, not league matches.
