i believe he plays up to the cunt role, to take the heat off the players. Jose has built this messiah-isitic image of himself so the press want to take him down. All their energy is therefore funnelled against him, not his players.

Ha Jesus.

I thought we could discuss the incredible home record of a coach.

Talk about going off the subject.

9 years 9 f&cking years!!

What's the longest Fergie has gone? 2?

Shanks, Bob? 2/3 years tops?

9 years is insane!
Next maybe we discuss the long and wonderful career of Gary neville?

"@NeilAshton_NOTW: Reference Jose Mourinho's "amazing 9 yr unbeaten home run". Oct 2005 Chelsea lost at home to Charlton on pens in Carling Cup, 1-1 aet."

Isn't 9 years unbeaten in the leaugue?
Yeah, it is. Think its a fair gauge too, seeing that managers normally rotate for cup matches.

Kudos to themn and Oncy for not esucking the balls dry of that massive whopper.

Dreamy - get your head out of his vage you big fanny.

I don't get this hatred for Mourinho, The shhhh thing in the final he was getting a shit load of stick off our fans and gave it back. Not a problem to me, and I would give my left bollock to see Liverpool score a last minute winner in champs leauge semi final and see Kenny run down the touch line celebrating at Old Trafford. And his arrogance Shankly had an arrogance about him some of quotes were pearlers. Two teams in Liverpool, Liverpool and Liverpool reserves.

The man is undoubtedly a very talented manager.

That is why I wouldn't want him to manage our club.

The likelihood of him coming to manage LFC is as remote as him being a humble man.

He will most likely go to Old Trafford.

He does have some elements of loyalty. I mean he's stuck with that hound of his when half the birds I know start ovulating if he just pops on TV for a second.

The first bit is probably true by now.

The second I doubt very much. Call Mourinho whatever else you like, but he's far from being an idiot and he'll know what a tremendously difficult job it'll be to follow Ferguson at Old Toilet. If he DOES take it on, those who've said he only takes jobs where success is guaranteed will have monster slices of humble pie to get down their necks.

I am not so sure that he will decline OT should they pump in 100m to buy players. Rumours of rich Sheiks coming in might just be true with the current unrest in the Middle East and they need a play thing to take their minds off their problems. OT might just fit that bill!

He will definitely go to that shithole.

In his eyes that will be the only place big enough for his ego after he leaves Real.

Anything else would be a stepdown.

Taking the madrid job was a big risk! He could be out on his ear this summer. Regardless of the cash he has to spend and players at his disposal, with the current Barcelona team in his way success is never going to be guaranteed for him in spain!

I genuinely don't believe there's anything definite about it, Avvy. Granted the job will have its attractions for him, as you say and Mike sets out in more detail above, but so it did when Busby went, and a series of managers after him still failed miserably. I'm not saying Mourinho certainly won't go there, but I would be very surprised if he's the one who follows Ferguson into the hot seat. I reckon he's far more likely to consider being that person's eventual successor if he goes there at any time. The Portuguese national job will do nicely meanwhile.

Depends on Abramovich IMO. Will he swallow his pride, invite Mourinho back and refrain from interfering to the extent which led to their parting company in the first place? If the answer to all those things were to be "yes", I could see it happening. How likely that is I don't know, but I certainly think it's more likely than the prospect of Mourinho being the Mancs' next boss.

Jose Mourinho could not care less about his stunning home run.

Last week Mourinho stretched his phenomenal unbeaten record in league matches to nine years.

The Portuguese coach last suffered a league defeat in front of his own fans when Porto lost to visiting Beira Mar on February 23, 2002, and since then he has gone unbeaten in 148 games with Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and now Real Madrid.

It is a remarkable run Mourinho has done nothing to protect.

He said: “Records like this mean nothing to me, it’s points I’m really interested in. Over the years I’ve done nothing to protect this record.

“On numerous occasions I have been in situations when my teams have been drawing games and I have had to take risks in those matches.â€

Mourinho added: “It has never crossed my mind to tactically protect that record. I have taken risks to win games because three points are far better than one.

“It’s points that win prizes not home records.
It’s better to win five games and lose one than draw six games. You work the maths out.â€

Mourinho maintains that he continues to have no interest in extending the historical record at the risk of dropping points.

He added: “I will risk everything to win games and, if the record falls, then no one can accuse me of putting a personal record before the needs of a team.

“I have always maintained that winning is everything. It’s about collective succes and winning trophies.â€

Didn't we beat them at Stamford Bridge in the league in 2008.

Or am I being whooshed here ?
Dont think Mourinho was in charge of Chelsea when we beat them then
