The Shit List

Half of these players should be squad players not always starting. Most of them look good in some games. Constantly dismantling the squad is the reason we're so inconsistent. We just need to add a couple more good players and build on it

The only ones I'd move on are ones I don't even want near the squad, or will never be suited

Mignolet and Benteke are standouts. Either Lucas or Allen will almost certainly go, and Allen only has a year left on his contract so I'd assume him

Lovren cost 20m pounds
Lallana cost 25M pounds

In the right team with good players? For those fees they should be the good players and being the spine of the team.

Milner wants first team football, it's why he joined us. I can't see him getting that when after this summer. He'll be bit part at best.
the price tag is irrelevant when our current manager didnt pay it

The club doesn't reboot every time we get a new manager.

If you have a 20m CB on the books at a club with our financial power then you expect him to be a virtual ever present and one of your better players not a player that show promise and then mediocrity week to week.

I completely disagree that because Klopp didn't pay it we shouldn't count it

Anyone else get the sense that Sturridge has a Balotelli-like arrogance and self-indulgence? I could be wrong. Not sure what makes me say that, probably just his demeanor, and hardly acknowledging fans when he comes off.

It could become very harmful to himself and the team if it grows.

The Sturridge-Klopp relationship could be a bit like the Benitez-Gerrard one. Not particularly warm, but in both cases the manager knowing that the player is integral to any success the club hopes to have.

The fees paid for them are irrelevant now, especially when it comes to whether we should keep them or not.

Sturridge wishes he was important as gerrard was

I never said we shouldn't count it but it's completely irrelevant 3 years later under a new manager when discussing whether or not they should stay or go.

In order of sh*tness/need to be moved on whether be to get them off the wage bill or because their value will only drop the longer they stink the place out

Alberto
No Skrtel? You having a laugh?

The kid has Hardly played, no way he should of laboured in that game..

If he can't last 90 minutes consistently then whats the point in starting him.. Probably a reason as to why he spends more time in the bench..

Yes he wasn't the biggest sinner today, but he is a limited footballer
Have.
On.

Allen was good against Clasie but couldn't handle Wanyama.
Because he was out-numbered. Our two strikers were isolated and Allen and Can were left fighting and losing the midfield battle. I'm not a big Hendo fan but we needed him in midfield.

Size and strength as well. Clasie is a good player but he's smaller than Allen.

I couldn't understand why Hendo wasn't brought on either. Maybe he just wasn't very fit.

Yip. I have a strange feeling Klopp is going to make a bold move and sell him.
I can not see Klopp selling many players (he's already said he won't) and certainly not 2 of our 4 strikers (5 if you count Firmino however I doubt Klopp does). Ings and Origi are almost certain to be here at the start of next season and Benteke almost certainly is the one with his head on the chopping block ... if we can find anyone to take him off our hands for 20M+. There are West Ham rumours.

He must have been considered good to go because he was warmed up and ready to come on at one time before being told to sit back down after we conceded yet again. Isn't that when Benteke came on ?

He should have been on before that. I guess Herr Klopp wanted an attacker to push for a goal instead by then.

I think we'll sell Benteke and Balotelli (hopefully get some money for him from China)...
We wont sell Sturridge.

BILD have linked us quite heavily with Granit Xhaka and Gotze. Klopp will definetly want some quality this summer.

Xhaka and Gotze would be great.

Ter Stegen too.

If we are getting a left back then Cresswell would be swell.

That would be great indeed, but Liverpool signing Goetze, Xhaka and Ter Stegen all in one summer seems ludicrously fanciful and won't happen.

I know I'm in the vast minority but I've never understood the hype over Gotze. He's looked average at best at bayern.

I still don't understand the hype here about Ter Stegen. His name keeps getting mentioned, and admittedly I haven't seen that much of him, but in 2 to 3 games that I have, he's looked rather meh.

I don't know much about another keeper we could go after though. Maybe some one more experienced, like Ralf Fahrmann (Schalke), though I'll admit to have never watched him play a game - the name just has an ace keeper ring to it. ;D At least Matip will be familiar with him.

Schalke will be our German Southampton.

It will make a nice change overpaying for average players from a different club.

I'm in the same minority, plus it concerns me that he'll cost the Earth if we do sign him.

In his defence he looked really promising for Dortmund and was very good at making late runs into the box and finishing moves. I think - and I've not really watched the Bundesliga for a while - that his style suited Dortmund's slightly more direct, counterpunching style; also at Bayern he's either competing with Lewandowski or Muller and isn't as good as either - and therefore hasn't ever had a decent run in the side and therefore a chance to striker up a decent understanding with those around him.

Though it could well be a mentality thing.

EDIT: Also, with the new TV money, it's going to be more difficult for the bigger (in terms of stature) clubs to get players on the cheap. Gotze will only be sold relatively cheaply if Ancelotti has no interest in keeping him.
