The most underrated players in the premiership

Worth a cheeky bid in Jan if Poulsen goes?

I doubt Harry would sell, but if it's Levy in control i reckon we may be in with a chance.

If he was available around the £7-8 million mark we could do worse

Song
Diaby
Ashley Young
Kevin Davies
Modric
Kranjcar
Rodagella

If i had to choose one it'd probably be Modric. He is a superstar yet doesnt get anywhere near enough recognition

Ryan Giggs.

I hope im not being whooshed and this is ironic, but fuck off Andy.

Blackburn's Paul Robinson.
He's fucking shite.

Much like Scott Carson - if the striker doesn't whack it straight at him then there's a 99% chance of it going in cos he saves fuck all. Plus his arse is absolutely MASSIVE.

i tried to do an 11but couldn't finish:

gilks
sagna - samba - jagielka - ??
coleman - ferguson - adam - maxi
doyle - ??

Kevin Davies is too much of a cock, kieran richardson at left back?

My vote goes to Scott Parker, though he is probably past his best now. If he had made a better choice of club when he left Charlton, instead of disappearing into the black hole that is Chelsea, he could have made more impact on the Premier League.

Kompany and De Jong are good shouts - City fans like them a lot. Another player at City who is pretty decent is Zabaleta.

Park at United is a pretty tidy little player.

Im not sure wether hes underrated or not, but the Elmander lad at Bolton after a first tricky season has 7 goals and 5 assists so far.
I think generally offensive players shouldnt be judged too much on their first season in the league. Nani, Pires, Malouda being the first three that spring to mind as the most high profile.
Elmander is certainly doing everything right right now.
His quick footwork and neat finish the other week reminded me of Dennis Bergkamp. He's certainly having a hot streak. Hopefully he can keep it up now he's in my Fantasy Football team.

Alex
Elmander
Bendtner
Gomes
What? No Agger?

And Bendtner is not underrated. If anything, he's overrated - by himself, at least.

That's pretty well spotted baring in mind his poor start in England. I am sure however that Sam's hoofing and bad tactics severely harmed his chances at first.

He was a great player at Brondby, scored some of the finest goal you'll see at Toulouse and is now finding his best form yet again. At his best he's almost unplayable because of his awkward albeit strong stature and great technique.

I don't think Agger is underrated as a player. He's mostly beeing criticized for beeing injured all the time and that's hardly wrong.

Perhaps Bendtner isn't underrated overall but on here I believe he is.

Cue Sunny.

Scott Parker is a good shout. I've always liked him. De Jong is also a good player, even though a nasty cunt. Other players I can think of are Jaaskelainen, Malbranque, Rodallega, and Bent. Bent should really be considered to be up there with Drogba and Torres as the best strikers currently in the PL. Should Torres ever leave, Bent would certainly be among the few players I would want to replace him with.

I think many people saw the price-tag and expected goals, but he's never been the sort of player to bang in 20 a season.

Elmander has been at Bolton for two seasons. He's having a great season so far... see if he can keep it up.

Allardyce didn't sign him. But Megson's tactics were probably worse.

My bad.

Owen Coyle is a completely different bread however and it seems Elmander for one enjoys the different approach in tactis. He is as you implied earlier not a target man in the normal meaning of the word - one that'll either beat opponents for pace (Torres/Bent) or sheer strength (Drogba/Carroll/Yakubu) - but more of an overall gifted footballer really.

Me too. He's got a much smaller head though. But I suppose the same goes for pretty much every human on the planet.

Good shout Viduka.

I've got a bit of a soft spot for Cameron Jerome. I wouldn't mind him as back up for Torres.

Don't know whether he's under- or overrated or just rated though.

I think his general 'rating' is pretty much in line with his talent. Or lack of it.
