We don't need players with great pace, strength, crossing ability, hold-up play, etc etc. We just need intelligent, world class players in attack. Postionless ones too. You get them, and they'll work it out themselves.

Amen to that brother. I'm dropping his name all over this forum of late. I think he's genuinely realistic. Valencia out of CL, (still in Europa though), Barca won't need him and he'll hardly go back to Real. I WANT ROBERTO SOLDADO. He's gonna pinch Torres' spot in the Euro squad at this rate.

SO, it's Saldado, Cavani or a German for me in that order.

I love that term - Positionless Players. Players that drift around to maximum affect like Silva, Mata, Iniesta and to a lesser extent Suarez. All it takes is; a solid defence, one mean-motherfucker centre midfielder and a goalscorer - fill the rest of the team with "Postionless Players".

Positionless players is just another word for multi-tasking! I agree though, players should be of a quality were they can play anywhere on the pitch without looking like a fish out of water.

Yep, I think it started with our fling with Iniesta (back before the love fest started) and then onto Gonzalo Higuain.

As for Soldado,he won't move in Jan in case it scuppers his place in the Euro 2012 squad. We've missed out on Valencia's last two stars, let's not make it three times in a row. I really think he's a realistic option for us, but in the summer.
