Look at that smile from Trent. He knows...
First time I've heard Wardrobe Etiquette with a minor in Facepalming described as a "technical topic"Ironically I’ve travelled the world and taught thousands of people on very technical topics most of whom English was their second language and I’d put Rafa right up there with some of the hardest to understand.
Mad how Guardiola is Spanish, has an accent but is easy to understand. It’s almost as if having an accent is not the only reason someone can be hard to understand. He sounds like a bog standard Spaniard speaking English, except he is a much more advanced speaker than most.
Chiesa sounds like an Italian. Slot sounds like he might be dutch. It's all very difficult to wrap my head around.
French has a lot of this. All languages sometimes use what's known as "elision" (the partial or complete omission of particular letter sounds to help spoken language run more fluently) but Spanish does it more than most and this carries over into the way native Spanish speakers speak English (and, I would assume, other languages). For example I also find Arteta quite hard to follow at times.
I have been to Greek classes and I could spot the French speakers by their accent in Greek. Other languages weren't as easy to spot, some not at all.French has a lot of this.

Good moaning. I shall sey dis onlee wance. It does, but that's known to be part of the language. My Spanish isn't at the same level, but my impression is that with Spanish this kind of thing is less formalised and so (for me anyway) harder to follow. I generally find French folk speaking English easier to follow than Spanish folk doing it - both have an accent but I find the French one usually more consistent.
This is genuinely the first time I've heard anyone say they think Rafa is difficult to understand. He just sounds like a Spanish dude who knows good English. I think I'm probably less easy to understand than him
I would eat out his bird though
Then celebrating like he scored a volley like Jotalol at Nunez waiting for third bounce before shooting.
Like a fourth graderlol at Nunez waiting for third bounce before shooting.
Would you eat her shite with a rusty spoon?I would eat out his bird though
That is the thing around your quarters.Would you eat her shite with a rusty spoon?
Great newsNoticed Chiesa isn’t in Italy squad so will get a good 2 solid weeks at the training ground with Slotto
Nunez will rub off on him and he will forget the offside rule.Noticed Chiesa isn’t in Italy squad so will get a good 2 solid weeks at the training ground with Slotto
Haven't felt such positive vibes from a signing in ages. He reminds me of Luis Garcia - the moment he came in, you loved him.
