The international break...

Townsend's still slagging off Sterling even after the assist. It's been going on all game.
Fuck Andy Thownsend the nomark.
I had hoped he would get caught up in the Robbie Earle ticketing scandal or at the least get caught blowing Des in the tactics truck.

Thoughts so far:

Jones isn't an international level CB ... I used to think he would be incredible - but he's oddly gone backwards as he's played more for manure.

Delph - not a bad full debut. He's nothing special but he can play a role at this level.

Sterling - best player England have

Rooney - undroppable.

I hope sterling keeps getting underrated for England. Less pressure on him

I must be hearing things because Ive just watched it again and Townsends exact words were:

"Its a brilliant ball across the 6 yard box, it really is, its absolutely perfect"

Jones really went for the John Terry role tonight - there was even an attempt to head a ball that was shin high.

To be fair, I was having a shit when England scored

And then about a minute after the restart he was slagging him off again.

England have played Ok tonight.

Cahill, Rooney, Stirling the 3 best players on the park. Delph has done well too.

It's probably because it's ages away, but after the sexiness of that world cup, I really cannot be arsed with the euros

Hes slated a few Macca, people are just getting uppity cos its Sterling. Hes had a decent game, been one of the better ones, but has made a couple of mistakes.

I dont mind Townsend myself. Could be worse, could be Clark Carlisle.

Im thinking of going over for two weeks, not to watch England in particular. Might see if DB's mate with the eyebrows wants to tag along #WINGMAN

It's been poor because it's been ignorant. Cahill hit the ball out of the area into Sterling in the centre, surrounded by two opponents with another snapping at his heels - a hossie ball - and they said 'You shouldn't lose the ball there', when the point should have been you don't hit the ball out of the area into a crowded area five yards outside. As usual they've hyped a player up and then react to their own hype.
