The international break...

I'll try to find David Hume to tell him where he was going wrong with those categories, chummy. Anyway, I'm so impressed you're privvy to the club's tests. And still find the time to bore people to death on here.

I'm impressed by your knowledge of 18th Century Scottish philosophers - His Treaties on Human Nature was lesson one at Uni.

I thought Henderson was poor last night. He doesn't suit the deeper role, and Wilshere and Milner have got the other 2 midfield positions sewn up. Hard to see him getting a spot when Barkley is back, especially as Delph is more suitable for the deeper role.

Sterling should have scored and the cross to set up Welbeck's goal was a lucky one. Poor performance from him. A midfield of Delph, Wilshere, Barkley and Milner would be tremendous.

Welbeck and Rooney work so well together that it would be hard to see Sturridge regaining his spot. Lambert did fuck all except to get booked in the little time he had on the field.

Stones was excellent, hard to see Flanagan get in, especially with Kyle Walker to return. Walker would suit the diamond formation to the tee.

England's best XI is

Hart
Walker
Cahill
Jones
Shaw
Delph
Milner
Wilshere
Barkley
Welbeck
Rooney

Would beat most teams on its day.

Johnson might get a run

Shocking team DHSC. Your midfield is woeful apart from Barkley who is, at best, a risky selection. Wilshere has done nothing, for Arsenal or England, to justify the hype, Milner has always been and will always be a squad player, Delph is (despite his good performance last night) very average, Jones is poor in terms of ability and positionally, Walker is not good enough and Welbeck is decent but would struggle to get into most top international teams. Added to that Rooney looks a fading force, Shaw is completely untried and Hart is hardly world class.

That leaves you with Cahill who is a very good defender.

Another fly caught in @DHSC's fiendish web.

Actually, that's simultaneously a whoosh and a quiff.

Do we have a word for that yet? A whiff? A Quoosh?

A hybrid of a whoosh and quiff, what a joyous occasion. I agree Doc, we need a word.

Quaff is often auto corrected for me when I try type quiff. Maybe a quaff can be a term for something one day.

Yep, I've been caught out by the great quaff conspiracy before, I'd vote for it also.
