The international break...

I am planning to be in the south of France during the Euros regardless of whether ROI make it to the Finals.
I will hopefully get to a couple of group games depending on who is playing in Bordeaux

Nice to see others get a chance like Delph. Jordan is defo next captain or after Cahill

Joseph Barton@Joey7Barton 3m
I think Sturridge is a great individual player but until he gives more to the team collective his role should be as an impact player.

Clearly Rooney doesn't like playing with him and team functions better with selfless players in it. Like Welbeck/Delph/Henderson

What a plonker. Most of the time Rooney was running into the same space as spoonface. But let it happen so Studge can rest for us.

Nice assist by the player 'who's as unfit as it's possible for a player to be'.

Nice. My definition of fitness was absolute, yours was subjective. Lambert is subjectively fit. But in absolute terms his age and lack of mobility are the absolute zero of fitness.

Its Rooney who should be dropped for Welbeck, not Sturridge, with a hard work alongside him like Welbeck, Sturridge will be fantastic.

I'll try to find David Hume to tell him where he was going wrong with those categories, chummy. Anyway, I'm so impressed you're privvy to the club's tests. And still find the time to bore people to death on here.

The absolute zero of fitness is death, surely?

Rooney had a poor start but got much better as the match went on.
Hart made two superb saves.
Sterling made two goals (even though only one was an assist) and should have scored two but fucked one up himself and Welbeck played a terrible ball too far in front of him for the other.
Cahill was excellent at the back, Jones rather less so - but he went off injured so I'd call that a great game.
Stones was disappointing at RB.
Delph was good (first half completed 26/26 passes) but his early yellow card took the edge off his game.
Hendo was described by Owen as one of the best midfielders in Europe.
Welbeck was good, his pace caused them problems and he took his two goals well.

England deserved the win.

And on Owen commentating. God Almighty, verbal diarrhoea personified. I had my finger on the mute every time he went on another one of his 'runs'.

Whenever - Lambert comes on - I have noticed that somehow goals do follow. It has happened to us, and now it has happened to England - the Lambert effect.

Gutted England won.

That was really the last chance to get the manager changed before the euros, without the old fart dying, obviously.

Now he'll do enough to qualify, play a young team, then blame the young team on them going out.

I like the way his eyes dart from side to side when he's doing press conferences. It's as if he's waiting for the police to burst in.

I thought Henderson was poor last night. He doesn't suit the deeper role, and Wilshere and Milner have got the other 2 midfield positions sewn up. Hard to see him getting a spot when Barkley is back, especially as Delph is more suitable for the deeper role.

Sterling should have scored and the cross to set up Welbeck's goal was a lucky one. Poor performance from him. A midfield of Delph, Wilshere, Barkley and Milner would be tremendous.

Welbeck and Rooney work so well together that it would be hard to see Sturridge regaining his spot. Lambert did fuck all except to get booked in the little time he had on the field.

Stones was excellent, hard to see Flanagan get in, especially with Kyle Walker to return. Walker would suit the diamond formation to the tee.

England's best XI is

Hart
Walker
Cahill
Jones
Shaw
Delph
Milner
Wilshere
Barkley
Welbeck
Rooney

Would beat most teams on its day.

Am I missing a piss take here ?

Hendo was ok last night. He will not be dropped.

Your team has no Raheem [emoji15]
