The forgotten transfer

Maybe a bit too harsh, but you can't blame people for being sceptical.

We are all skeptical Gary. You said. "the lad does indeed have all the hallmarks of another donkey striker."

He doesn't really. He is blessed with pace and started up front in the World Cup for a country ranked top ten in the world at 19. I do have concerns over how we'll integrate him into the first team. I've no idea our plans for his development.

He's physically ready for the PL. And he's been a first teamer for both club and country for about 18 months. I'd have no problems starting him in the first team in Sturridge's absence. Rather him than Ings. He's ideally suited to lead the line with Firmino and Coutinho behind him.

Origi-----Firmino
-----Coutinho

Origi can stretch the defence with his pace, and pull out wide when necessary. Firmino can play the roving Suarez role, and Coutinho the no. 10 playmaker.

We all regard Ibe as a top prospect, but if people took his stats in isolation, they wouldn't touch him with a bargepole.

Ibe just broke into the first team, being played effectively in defense. His statistics for the youth teams and at Derby were very promising.

Origi is a great pickup. Can't wait to watch him in the red. Hope he does a Torres and it just clicks here. There has to be a good song with a name like that too... We could do with one again. We're boss when we have a catchy diddly for a dead good striker. He'll get lots of patience from me.

I think it was pretty obvious the club wanted to bring him in last January, then he turned shite....

Sounds like his head dropped cos he wanted to be here and he downed tools.

I wouldnt write him off just yet.

Hes not a great FUCKING PICK UP. HES A SIGNING.
WE DIDNT PICK HIM UP. WE SIGNED HIM.

Oh no! Other people in other parts of the world have different languages and different slang. I must get mad and yell!!! Look how intelligent I am!!!

Sorry about history, Andy.

Wow. Since when did you become a bellend?

Yea cos Americans say 'boss' and 'dead good'.
You were trying to talk Scouse-lite and he called you on it.

I don't try and talk scouse lite. I've grown up in 4 countries, family over all the world, a job that entails I talk to people around the world, and I read sites from different countries.

Yes, Boss and dead good would factor into my slang. Lots of different words and sayings do. Seriously thats why i responded like a "bellend". Fuck off, so my language skills are a little bit messed up because I've been bombarded with different languages and accents my whole life. i just don't think nuances of languages are important enough for someone who understand what you're saying "to call you on it."

I quite like being 'scouse lite' - Ma and my late grandpops are/were scouse born and proud. I've never lived there but consider the city a second home and have lots of family and buddies there. Boss la! Nowt wrong with being an OOT fella. 😎

I'll stick to living in Herts though. More farmers markets and steam rally's - Plus the neighbors are waaaaay more interesting. 🥷

Right back, I think. He did look decent to begin with, but went off the rails away from football, which jiggered his career. Can't remember the full details but he managed either to shoot himself in the @rse or to put said @rse in the way of someone else's shot.

People who're calling him a donkey have no clue about identifying a talent.

He's a bona fide top level talent. His attributes are absolutely outstanding - pace, power, great shot, very solid touch and technique.

It's amazing that people are judging him on his 'meagre' 8 goals last season. No 19 year old scores in double figures in top flight football - if he does, he's a generational talent.

Origi isn't a generational talent, but if he develops rightly, he'll be very very good.

Watch this kid's performance against USA at the World Cup - the way he plays back to goal, the way he keeps possession, it's the mark of a player with maturity far beyond his years. He needs to figure out how to score, which I'm sure he will sooner rather than later. When he does, he'll be a super player.

What he needs now is patience and lots of game time. He's only as young as Ibe FFS.

You're still a bellend though.
