Manchester united - 9pts
Manchester City - 9pts
Liverpool - 7pts
Chelsea - 7pts
Arsenal - 1pt
Tottenham - 0pts

You have to say thats about fair given how the teams have played so far.
Spurs have only played 2 so far, but lost the games 8-1 combined Arsenal have lost their 3 games 10-2

Er, Arsenal drew their first game.
Yes but their goal difference over the three games is 10-2 so they are losing
.....if you get me? As you see in the standings they have thier point.

Too early to say Arsenal are out of anything based on results. Losing to United is certainly not an issue as they may have done so anyway.

Based on performance perhaps you could rule them out but its still ridiculously early to do so.

ewhAT? 3 games in, they aren't out of anything yet. Its more they don't have the team to challenge for the title.

I look at both those teams and they are significantly weaker than the top 4. Obviously mathematically they aren't out of it, but that's the worse Arsenal team in 15 years. I'd be surprised if either made the top 4.

They are out of the Championship race, I'd argue they are out of the Top 4 race too.

after 3 games?

behave

So at who's expense do you think they'd make top 4 based on their squads and the fact that they are 6-8 points already behind the leaders?

Oh, right you're talking goal difference. Right you are Chief.

Arsenal will be up there in or around the top 4 at the end.
if they don't buy anyone by weds they most defenatly won't..

They will beat most teams Shadey even with their current squad. If they buy a couple of good players, they'll be competitive again.

Wilshire
Ramsey
Vermaelen
Szewhateverny
Song
RVP
Walcott
Gervinho

If they get Cahill, Hazard and someone like Arbeloa (versatile and competent defender) they'll have an excellent first XI.

Im saying what shouldnt really need saying KK. A couple of bad results for anyone and a couple of good ones for them and once again its even stevens.... argue all you like but its game 3.... not game 33.

Nobody in their right mind could argue that right this minute that they are not in a crisis of confidence and have not suffered in the transfer window BUT they have what 8 of their best players out? And for that matter how many points did they finish above us last season?? Both Arsenal and Spurs have got quality first elevens and experience of winning big games... not only that but both teams are more than capable of going on good runs, just as im not so sure that we, or the manc teams or chelsea for that matter cant go on a bad run.

Its a great great fillip for us to get the jump on them early doors and yes, im delighted we are looking good as they are looking bad but .... game 3.

cart and horses, cup and lip, marathon not a sprint etc....

Its not even my not liking this thread from tempting fate point of view ( i dont though its true.... ) its more that whatever way you cut it it is the dictionary definition of premature.

look at the teams that the top 6 have played in 3 games hence the difference

Scum - west brom, tottenham, arsenal 9pts

City - swansea, bolton, tottenham 9pts

Chelsea - stoke, west brom, norwich 7pts

Liverpool - sunderland, arsenal, bolton 7pts

Arsenal - newcastle, liverpool, scum 1pt

Tottenham - man utd, man city 0pts (could be 3 with game in hand everton)

its stupid to rule out anyone.
Chelsea have had an easy run and looked shaky.. arsenal and tottenham have had 2 very difficult games.

The -8 and -7 goal difference is good for us though 🙂

I think Arsenal are ou of the title race already. They are in no state to start a catch up of 8 points in the next few weeks and will fall further behind.

Spurs were never in it.

Us and Chelsea have gotten a good start and have an advantage on Spurs ad Arse regarding 3rd and 4th.
The Big six will fight it out for the top 4 places, no doubt about that. So getting a good start is always important.

Dont think Chelsea are able to challenge either, so it will be up to us to fuck over the Mancs.

Can you really see Arsenal winnning the league now Spidey? Really?

They would have to buy 3-4 players in the next 3 days and then go on a run for the next 30 odd games.
Cathing up 8 points to City and Utd isnt the most easy thing to do...

Arsenal aren't out of the title race after just 3 games and to say they are out of the race for the top 4 is just plain stupid!

I'm talking top 4.

Arsenal aren't out of the title race because of yesterday, or because they only have 1 point from 9. They're not going to win the league because they are shit.

Spurs last 54 games under Harry compared to Ramos' 54 in charge: Redknapp - P:54 W:22 D:17 L:15 Ramos - P:54 W:21 D:16 L:17

Harry Redknapp "People talking about our players has ruined our pre-season, it's very unsettling" oh the irony

If we get cl, and redknapp and wenger get sacked, I'm spending next summer tossing myself off until I bleed from the eyes

shouldn't you mark the occasion by doing something different for a change?

When I do it normally I only bleed from one eye

Arsenal are out of the title race. I reckon this years champions will get a record point total.

I was talking to someone about this before we played them. I was certain we'd win and more worried about Bolton, and I wouldn't be surprised if Bolton finished above them. I still think that.. I mean every single side in the league will go to The Emirates looking for a win, and many will get one. They are a load of bollocks. They've won 2 prem games since March the 2nd. That's really really shit.

Since the Carling Cup. DDDWDDLWLLDDLL. And then they went and sold their 2 best players.
