Back on point, I couldn't agree more with this post, our issue is penetration, (1)what's the point of having all this playmaking ability if no one is stretching the backline. Its why a striker with a goal threat would make a massive difference to us, Origi just doesn't seem interested / capable of running the channels and stretching the defence, if he could we'd open up a load of space, and be much more dangerous. (2) I'd expected to see more of this from Firmino too, but he's disappointed a little in that regard so far, but that could be down to him coming back to fitness and finding his place in the team. Texieira pleasantly surprised me on Wednesday as he was a lot more direct and pacey than I expected, his run for the goal was a testament to that, for those reasons alone, I hope he gets some more game time, even if its from the bench.
