Liverpool's Suso is continuing to win admirers in his homeland.

Spain's under-20 side have so far lived up to their billing at the World Cup, winning all three group games.

They saw off a highly rated France side featuring Paul Pogba and Geoffrey Kondogbia on Thursday, winning 2-1 to top their group.

Their side reads like a who's who of Europe's most wanted young players, with Gerard Deulofeu, Jese Rodriguez and Oliver Torres the star attractions.

Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo has gone one further, publishing an article highlighting the team's top five 'jewels' who can lead them to glory at the tournament.

Along with the aforementioned trio, and goalkeeper Dani Sotres, completing the quintet is Liverpool midfielder Suso.

Suso is a key part of the side, pulling the strings in midfield alongside Oliver Torres, and last year helped the same group of players triumph at the European under-19 Championships.

Suso is described in the article as one of the most 'outstanding' players in the Spain midfield, and his contribution has clearly not gone unnoticed.

He played as a starter in the first two games of the tournament and was then rested against France with Spain already qualified, but came on at half-time to give the Spaniards a second half lift by providing the assist for what proved to be their winner.

His recognition in the Spanish press has two effects; it one raises his profile in his homeland, and it two raises the profile of Liverpool's academy, that they have been able to harness his talent since bringing him over to England in 2010.

With his future involvement next season still undecided by Brendan Rodgers, it could just be that as a result of the tournament there are offers from Spain to take him on loan for the 2013/14 for the club to consider.

But how would he displace Gerrard? God I hope he gets a loan spell in La Liga in that position.

He could just wait around for 12 months, how long do you think Gerrard will continue to be a first team regular?

We would be insane to sell Suso hes the most talented player to come through our club since Gerrard, loan him out with an option to recall if needed.

You'd imagine Gerrard still has at least a couple more seasons to go, maybe more depending on how healthy he stays.
And he's the captain.
Unless he eventually manages to settle down and moves into a much more disciplined defensive role where he can play alongside Suso, it's not going to happen for a long while.
And I've been one of the biggest supporters of Suso here for a few years.
He needs to prove to Rodgers that he can be a player that can be really depended upon. I think he can do show that by playing on loan for a La Liga side.

He's been playing on the right for Spain with the licence to roam in the middle. No reason why he can't do that for us until gerrard retires in a few years. Never held back zidane or iniesta.

He's mostly only been adequate on the right the majority of the time. He's not the Coutinho type. And we've brought in another two specialists for those positions. He's not going to get many chances there, nor is he going to set the world alight when he plays there.
In senior football he's going to have to get that opportunity to play in a deeper role to make it as a top player.
Iniesta by the way is a completely different player.

1-1
Corner from Suso, flicked header and a simple tap in by their right back.

Fucking hell Suso is now bossing the game, what a turnaround!
Why the hell didn't he start?

I hope we do the right thing with him this season. Be it finding the right club for him to go on loan or giving him more 1st team opportunities.

I think we all want that.
I'm not sure if all these international competitions that keep interrupting his pre season for us are helpful. The tournament ends in about two weeks and then he'll have another 1 or 2 weeks rest. He'll miss most our friendlies.
